The Faculty of Oriental Studies (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and the Literature Translation Institute (Ministry of Culture and Information of Korea) jointly organized the 5th Korean Literature Review Writing Contest.
Contestants
All students and graduate students studying at 12 Korean language and Korean studies schools nationwide.
Contest format
Candidates write an essay on the short story “Before the Manse Movement” by author Yom Sang Seop, translated by Le Dang Hoan (can be found at the Resource Room of the faculties/departments of Korean language and Korean studies).
Contest rules
- Only essay entries will be accepted.
- Entries must be typed on A4 paper, font size 14, single line, 6-10 pages (note: do not include personal information in the entry)
- Each contestant can only submit one entry and it must be an original article that has not been published in newspapers or mass media.
Register and submit your entry
- Candidates in Hanoi register to take the exam on Wednesday and Friday mornings and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the Korean Documentation Room – Room 402, 4th floor, Building C, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

- Deadline for registration and submission of entries via email: June 5, 2010
- Deadline for submission of entries by post: June 10, 2010
- Entries must be submitted with the Entry Form.
