On January 15, 2023, in Hanoi, VNU, in collaboration with Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Japan and MUFG Bank Hanoi Branch, organized the Mitsubishi scholarship awarding ceremony for 30 excellent students of VNU for the 2023-2024 academic year. Each scholarship is worth 340 USD/student/academic year.
Congratulations to 05 excellent VNU USSH students who received Mitsubishi scholarships, Japan for the 2023-2024 academic year. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Masao Kojima, General Manager of Vietnam, General Director of Hanoi Branch, MUFG Bank; Ms. Phan Thi Hong Thuy, Legal Director, MUFG Bank Hanoi Branch. On the side of VNU, there were Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Head of Training Department; Ms. Hua Thanh Hoa, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of VNU; Mr. Nguyen Minh Truong, Deputy Head of Political and Student Affairs Department; ... along with leaders and staff implementing the Mitsubishi scholarship program of units with students receiving scholarships.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs Nguyen Minh Truong said that over the years, VNU has coordinated with many domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to effectively develop and implement scholarship programs to support VNU's undergraduate and graduate students. These include the Mitsubishi UFJ Scholarship Fund of Japan, MUFG Bank Hanoi branch and the Mitsubishi Scholarship program.
Deputy Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs Nguyen Minh Truong delivered the opening speech at the ceremony.
The effective implementation of the Mitsubishi Scholarship Program at VNU over the past 30 years is also a vivid demonstration of an important development in the cooperative relationship between MUFG Bank Hanoi Branch, Mitsubishi UFJ Scholarship Fund Japan and VNU in particular, as well as the two peoples of Vietnam and Japan in general. He also expressed his sincere thanks to MUFG Bank Hanoi Branch and Mitsubishi UFJ Scholarship Fund Japan for their meaningful attention to VNU students and congratulated the 30 students who received the scholarships this time. He expressed his hope that the students will always maintain good academic performance, constantly strive to become the pride of VNU.

At the scholarship awarding ceremony, General Director of MUFG Bank Hanoi Branch, Mr. Masao Kojima, congratulated 30 excellent students of VNU who received Mitsubishi scholarships this time and thanked VNU for its cooperation and collaboration with the bank over the past 30 years. With the desire to contribute more to the development of the country through education, over the past years, the Fund has awarded 3,295 scholarships to Vietnamese students, including 1,196 students of VNU.
