Dao Minh Quang Foundation awards 28 scholarships to VNU-USSH students

Attending the "Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony" were Dr. Dao Minh Quang - Chairman of the Foundation, Lawyer Nguyen Tien Lap, representative of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation Council in Vietnam.
On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Party Secretary, Principal of the University; Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Principal; representatives of leaders of functional departments and leaders of Faculties/Institutes/Departments, 28 students receiving scholarships and many students of the University attending and interacting with Dr. Dao Minh Quang.

Dao Minh Quang Foundation is a charitable foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany and was established by Dr. Dao Minh Quang, who is the Chairman of the Foundation in December 2016 in Berlin under the German Civil Code. Dao Minh Quang Foundation is officially recognized as an independent legal entity by the Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection of the State of Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. The Foundation only carries out public and charitable activities.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Dao Minh Quang Foundation has decided to sponsor and grant 28 scholarships, each worth 10,000,000 VND to 28 students representing 28 training majors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including students with excellent academic achievements, difficult family circumstances, and staff contributing to the Youth Union - Association movement. This is the 6th consecutive year since the 2017-2018 school year that Dao Minh Quang Foundation has awarded scholarships to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Speaking at the Scholarship Award Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, on behalf of the Board of Directors and students of the University, expressed his deep gratitude to Dr. Dao Minh Quang personally, and his colleagues in the Fund Council for their precious affection and meaningful gifts to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan shared: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always received special attention and favor in the sponsorship activities of the Dao Minh Quang Fund. Right at the E Building campus, on November 16, 2024, with the sponsorship of the Dao Minh Quang Fund, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully organized a scientific workshop with the theme "Evaluation and implementation of the Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Startup Project in Vietnam following the model of the Federal Republic of Germany" attracting the attention of many scientists, entrepreneurs and students. In the next 4-6 years, the Fund is committed to continuing to accompany the University in researching, surveying, compiling, publishing textbooks, handbooks, reference books, organizing training sessions, talkshows on entrepreneurship and creative startups.
Today's seminar and scholarship award ceremony is the realization of the content of the cooperation agreement officially signed in November 2023 and demonstrates the good feelings and effective cooperation between Dao Minh Quang Foundation and VNU-USSH.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated the students who had excellently received the Scholarship and wished them much success in their studies and careers.

Not only accompanying the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in sponsoring scholarships for students and research activities, Dr. Dao Minh Quang is currently a visiting professor at the Faculty of Management Science. On the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day, President Hoang Anh Tuan also sent his congratulations and gratitude to Dr. Dao Minh Quang for always accompanying the Faculty in teaching and guiding students and PhD students.
Touched by the affection and thoughtful and friendly welcome of the school's Board of Directors and students, Dr. Dao Minh Quang shared: “I was born in a very poor rural area in Phu Tho Province, but with the love of my family, my hometown, the help of my friends and my own efforts, I was able to study and work in Germany and have achieved some success as I have today. I established this scholarship fund from a very simple wish, as a word of gratitude to my homeland Vietnam, my family and friends in my beloved Vietnam. And every time I return to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, I always feel warm as if I were returning home and returning to my days of studying in Vietnam. Therefore, I believe that each scholarship is just a small gift that I give to you, but more importantly, through it, I want to send you spiritual encouragement, encouragement and support so that you can strive to fulfill your dreams.
I have studied and lived in Germany for nearly 40 years. With my experience and knowledge, I want to share with Vietnamese students and young people, especially knowledge and skills about starting a business and sustainable entrepreneurship.

The Foundation only carries out public and charitable activities.
The objective of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation is to promote development cooperation activities between Vietnam and Germany, through 5 activities, especially in promoting General Education, Vocational Training and University Training, promoting Startup and Sustainable Agriculture Projects as well as Music and Culture. Since its establishment, the Foundation has supported and sponsored many Projects in Germany and in Vietnam. All projects have been, are being and will be funded and implemented entirely by self-financed resources from the Fund's Capital donated by the Founder and from additional funding from Dr. Dao Minh Quang himself. The Foundation has not requested additional funding from any individuals, companies or other organizations.

Over the years, in promoting general education, vocational training and university training, music and culture alone, the Dao Minh Quang Foundation has sponsored billions of Vietnamese Dong each year, mainly in the form of scholarships and awards to students with excellent academic achievements and difficult family circumstances, to musical talents and to sponsor German-Vietnamese concert projects and programs, as well as cultural and musical exchange projects between Germany and Vietnam.
Up to now, in addition to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Scholarship and Awards Ceremony of the Dao Minh Quang Foundation has been held at many other schools and places, such as the University of Natural Sciences (HUS), the International Francophone Institute (IFI) of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), primary and secondary schools in Viet Tri, Phu Tho...

On behalf of 28 students receiving the Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship, Mai Linh (a student of the Faculty of Management Science) expressed her deepest gratitude to Dr. Dao Minh Quang personally, the Foundation Council and the School for giving them truly meaningful gifts. Mai Linh shared: “Today’s scholarship is not only a reward, a recognition of our own efforts, but also gives us confidence and motivation to confidently continue on the path we have chosen. Appreciating this precious gift and affection, we are aware of our responsibility to constantly strive to achieve higher results in studying and training, to graduate and successfully establish a career to be able to help students in difficult circumstances, multiplying the noble humanitarian meaning that the Dao Minh Quang Foundation is pursuing. I hope and wish that the cooperation between the School and the Dao Minh Quang Foundation will become increasingly strong and open”.

Mai Linh, on behalf of all the students, sent Dr. Dao Minh Quang a bouquet of fresh flowers as a token of gratitude.

The 2024 Dao Minh Quang Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony is also an opportunity for VNU-USSH students to interact and enjoy unique musical works through the warm voices of Dr. Dao Minh Quang, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and teachers and students of VNU-USSH.
