(summarize the results of the thesis, emphasizing new results if any)
The topic of this thesis is “The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Vietnam's foreign relations”. The purpose of this thesis is to clearly analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and a series of response measures of the three foreign pillars of the Party, the State and the people of Vietnam. In the current situation of being comprehensively affected by the pandemic, this topic is new and has practical significance.
This thesis began with Vietnam's foreign relations from the 21st century with the characteristics of globalization and modernization, and clearly analyzed the basic characteristics of Vietnam's foreign relations before the COVID-19 pandemic. These contents created conditions for comparing the "changes"; then, through different political, economic, and cultural fields, the thesis clearly analyzed the reality of the pandemic affecting the world, including Vietnam, clearly proving the hypothesis that "the COVID-19 pandemic affects Vietnam's foreign relations". Finally, the thesis compared the changes in Vietnam's foreign affairs before and during the pandemic, especially medical diplomacy and vaccine diplomacy... Thus, it can be concluded through comparison that "the impact of the pandemic on Vietnam's foreign relations includes challenges and opportunities".
Based on the above practical analysis, the Thesis has very specific assessments of the impact of COVID-19 on Vietnam's foreign relations. The context of COVID-19 is both a "challenge" and an "opportunity". Through this epidemic, Vietnam has drawn a number of experiences and lessons on responding to numerous "non-traditional security challenges" in the future; in the post-epidemic period, Vietnam can also seize the favorable opportunities brought about by the epidemic to realize and optimize "flexible innovation" in Vietnam's foreign affairs in the future.
- Practical application: (if any)
From the above research results, the thesis contributes to clearly analyzing the "challenges" and "opportunities" that the COVID-19 context brings to Vietnam's foreign relations. This topic is new and has practical significance.
