Professional activities
* Student research activities have made significant progress in the past 5 years, mainly in quality, not quantity. Some differences have created a turning point in the teaching and learning process at the Faculty.

Statistics on conferences and student scientific research in the period 2018 - 2022

- There are foreign students (individuals) participating in scientific research and achieving excellent results (First prize at school level, Second prize at VNU level);
- There have been foreign students participating in research groups with Vietnamese students and achieving excellent results (second prize at school level);
- Many student groups have published research in domestic specialized journals;
- Many students have participated in research with teachers in a number of topics and projects.
* The Faculty's international students have won the First Prize in the national Vietnamese speech contest for foreign students in Vietnam, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training for the first time nationwide (December 2023). This is the team with the most nationalities (8 nationalities) among 64 participating teams.
Extracurricular activities
*Field trip learning combined with field tripsfor Vietnamese and foreign students according to the annual training program in the direction of: cultural experience, returning to the source, learning and preserving national cultural heritage, intercultural exchange between representatives of ethnic groups and countries, fostering national pride for Vietnamese students, broadening the vision and experience for foreign students who are learning about the country and people of Vietnam.
*Practical training abroad: The Faculty has been organizing a number of practical internships abroad such as China, Thailand, Laos, etc. for Vietnamese students. This is a breakthrough activity, a great effort of the Faculty Board according to the University's policy of improving the quality of study and expanding multicultural experiences, creating opportunities to access international values, careers and job prospects for full-time students of the Faculty.
*International Cultural Festival: Held annually by the Faculty at the end of the calendar year, it is both a New Year's Eve and an international cultural exchange festival with the participation of students from the entire Faculty and foreign students in the region. The international cultural festival has become a brand of "soft power" of the Faculty, contributing to promoting the people's foreign affairs of the Faculty and the University with cultural exchange activities with multinational cultural activities, folk games, traditional and modern arts, culinary culture and regional costumes, countries, continents...
*Cultural Ambassadors Club(established in 2017 from the idea of ​​Dr. Dang Hoai Giang and Dr. Tran Thi Thu): has successfully organized cultural, artistic and musical exchange and performance events to connect students from different countries in the Faculty and in the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, connecting and enhancing the love of Vietnamese language, deep interest in Vietnamese culture, country and people. The club was established and operates with the desire to give opportunities for "international students to explore the subtle, charming and diverse expressive capabilities of Vietnamese and share unique perspectives and experiences about Vietnam; thereby, contributing to promoting mutual understanding and respect between Vietnam and countries around the world". There have been 05 Vietnamese writing competitions with diverse content and forms organized by the club. The Vietnamese writing contest “VSL Pen” for Vietnamese students and “Vietnamese Letters” have become meaningful and promising playgrounds for students of the Faculty of Literature and Television of all courses as well as Vietnamese and international students outside the Faculty and outside the school.
