Emulation work at VNU-USSH in the period 2020-2025 achieved many achievements
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the emulation work of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been well implemented, in accordance with the Law on Emulation and other current regulations. The emulation work has been implemented synchronously, closely following the political tasks and development goals of the University. The emulation movements have taken place enthusiastically, in depth, associated with innovation in training, scientific research and community service; focusing on discovering and praising typical advanced examples in the emulation movements.
Many groups and individuals of the School have received emulation titles and various forms of rewards, from the grassroots level, VNU level, Ministry level and State level.

Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, Chairwoman of the School's Trade Union, Vice Chairwoman of the Emulation and Reward Council, presented the Summary Report on the emulation movement for the period 2020-2025 and the Direction of the emulation movement for the period 2025-2030.
At the Conference, the School awarded certificates of merit from the Principal to 09 groups (Faculty of Sociology and Social Work; Department of Organization and Personnel; Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language; Department of Planning and Finance; Department of Anthropology and Religious Studies; Institute of Policy and Management; Department of Management Science; Department of Psychology; Institute of Journalism and Communication Training) and 27 individuals who are typical examples in the emulation movements in the period of 2020-2025, contributing to the overall achievements of the School.
The emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period focuses on innovation, digital transformation and is closely linked to the tasks of each official.
That is the core content in the Orientation and tasks of emulation and reward work of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the new period.
The conference listened to representatives of leaders of a number of units present papers clearly analyzing the reasons for the achievements as well as emphasizing a number of lessons learned from the practical operations of the units.
Dr. Dang Kim Khanh Ly, Head of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, presented a paper on "Promoting the role of the faculty of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work in teaching, scientific research and community service, contributing to the emulation and reward achievements in the period of 2020-2025", emphasizing a number of solutions: Encourage young staff to develop their careers, participate in scientific research associated with community activities, considering it an important criterion in emulation and reward; Strengthen and expand domestic and international cooperation in training and research; Regularly organize seminars and share experiences of lecturers inside and outside the faculty.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Huong Lan, Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, presented a paper on the topic "Labor trends, employment, human resource policies and opportunities and challenges for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities". The paper provided in-depth analysis of current risks and challenges, such as the context of globalization, climate change, population aging, global economic changes, the scientific and technological revolution, especially the emergence and replacement of AI in some fields; fierce competition in the education sector, the problem of university autonomy. However, the new context also creates new opportunities, in which the Social Sciences and Humanities sector has many advantages in training basic scientific knowledge as well as soft skills: creative thinking, communication skills, management skills, and adaptation skills. Many new career fields will need a large number of human resources suitable for the fields trained by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. That context poses an urgent need to innovate thinking and action to adapt and succeed.

The conference unanimously determined to continue to strongly innovate the content, form, and method of organizing patriotic emulation movements in a practical, effective, high-quality, and legal manner; motivating each cadre and lecturer to actively innovate in teaching, scientific research, and community service, contributing to building the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to develop sustainably, integrate internationally, and have a high position in the region and the world.
