Psychological Support and Counseling Center

General introduction

The Center for Psychological Support and Counseling (CACP) was established in July 2004 with the following functions and tasks:

• Research topics in the fields of Social Psychology, Business Management Psychology, organize and implement projects and topics in the field of mental health for students and other social subjects.
• Practical skills training for lecturers and students of the Faculty of Psychology.
• Human resource consulting, management consulting for businesses and other social organizations.
• Psychological counseling for students, university students, and other social groups about studying, love, marriage, family, career orientation, and school psychology.
• Therapeutic intervention for mental health problems in children and adults.
• Provide training courses on knowledge and practical skills in psychotherapy.

The Center strives to become one of the effective centers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, with high prestige in society and at the same time affirming the position of Psychology in social life.

• Psychological characteristics of Vietnamese farmers in the period of opening up and international integration.
• Needs and employment opportunities of urbanized farmers in Hanoi.
• Emotional disturbances in secondary school students and how to cope.
• The influence of Buddhist beliefs on human mental health.

Train

• Vocational skills training courses for students and graduate students of the Faculty of Psychology.
• Parenting skills training for parents.
• Training for child psychologists in knowledge and skills in treating children with behavioral problems, sexually abused children, and children with psychological trauma.
• Professional supervision for young psychotherapists.

Collaborative activities

• Professional cooperation with the Center for Treatment of Child Psychological Disorders (Department of Child Protection and Care, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs).
• Disseminate knowledge about child psychology to the community.
• Cooperate with the Association of Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs and Enterprises in supporting businesses.

Providing psychological counseling and intervention services

• Counseling and psychological therapy for students on learning problems, psychological disorders, and career guidance.
• Psychological intervention for children and adolescents.
• Treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, and psychological trauma in adults.
• Psychological and human resources support and consulting, management consulting for businesses and organizations.
