Hanoi culture with the tradition of respecting teachers and valuing learning

On behalf of the Board of Directors and all staff and students of the School, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan read the will expressing respect, gratitude and pride because Hanoi Humanities is the descendant, continuing the tradition of the old Truong Giam School. On the basis of the long tradition, the collective leadership, staff and students of the School have constantly strived and made efforts to achieve brilliant results in 2023 and recent years, maintaining the leading position in training and research in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities of the whole country.

Before the souls of the saints, the staff and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed their determination to "unite, comrade, agree, and be of one mind" to build and develop the University with the following key tasks: interdisciplinary training; science aiming for great achievements; student affairs must go hand in hand; international training must be conducted to attract foreign students to study at the University and send the University's students abroad to study and exchange.
After the congratulatory speech, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, along with vice principals and all staff, lecturers and students of the School offered incense to show their respect to Mr. Chu Van An and the saints, and expressed their wishes for a new year of Giap Thin with good health and success in all fields.

Also on the occasion of offering incense at the Temple of Literature, the Board of Directors had a meeting and discussion with Mr. Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature.

Sharing about the strong changes in organizing activities of the Temple of Literature, Mr. Le Xuan Kieu emphasized: “In recent years, especially after experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic with many challenges, we are deeply aware of the importance of changing to help visitors easily access and learn about the cultural and historical values ​​of the Temple of Literature cultural space in many new forms, applying technology, digitalization... As a result, the same heritage but many attractive activities have been organized: typically the Sacred Temple of Literature night tour or heritage exhibitions,... The special national relic of the Temple of Literature has become an attractive destination and attracted the attention, visits and learning of many domestic and foreign tourists".

The Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature also emphasized: the Center's professional activities always receive the attention, enthusiastic and effective participation of literary experts, Han Nom, lecturers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, from the work of collecting, composing and displaying cultural products. Such close cooperation not only helps to diversify and improve the professional quality of activities at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam relic site but also contributes to preserving, spreading and promoting the precious traditional cultural values ​​of the nation to the younger generation and international friends.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated and highly appreciated the creativity, strong changes, and quick adaptation to the new situation of the Temple of Literature Center's leadership. Respecting, preserving and conserving the traditional values ​​of the nation while constantly changing and applying the achievements of science and technology in the digital age to suit the trends and tastes of young people and international tourists is an extremely correct direction. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan also proposed and hoped that in the coming time, the two units will have more cooperation activities in training (increasing practical internship opportunities and experiences for students in the majors of History, Tourism, Cultural Management, Religious Studies, Political Science, ...), research (collecting and preserving heritage, organizing scientific seminars), employment for students after graduation, ...

Offering incense at the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy is a fine tradition of the School that has been preserved through many generations, both to show gratitude to the sages and predecessors who have contributed to opening the university, building the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy, opening and preserving the tradition of respecting teachers; to show respect to the Vice-Chancellor Chu Van An, who is honored by the people as "Van the su bieu" (Eternal Teacher); and also to pass on the spirit of humanity and respect for the past to the younger generation.
