In 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU has a total enrollment target of more than 2,000 full-time undergraduates, an increase of nearly 20% compared to the previous year. Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Principal of the school, said that the increased enrollment target (320 targets) will be allocated to the school's 27 training majors, especially focusing on high-quality majors that meet social needs such as: Korean Studies, Psychology, Journalism, Public Relations, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Office Management, International Studies, etc.

The school enrolls students according to 5 methods: Direct admission and priority admission according to the current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Direct admission and priority admission according to the specific regulations of VNU; Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam (still valid) organized by VNU; Admission based on international language certificates and other international certificates; Admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam.
Every year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities offers 45 scholarships for 9 basic science majors, including Literature, History, Philosophy, Han Nom, Religious Studies, Political Science, Anthropology, Vietnamese Studies, and Linguistics. Each scholarship is worth 50 million VND/year along with many other incentives and support for studying.
The 2023 Admissions and Career Counseling Festival brings together 250 consulting booths from more than 100 universities and colleges with many exciting activities. This is considered the largest festival ever in the admissions and career counseling series organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper over the past 20 years.
