Announcement of 10th grade enrollment at High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2023

1.1. Candidates and conditions for admission
Junior high school students graduating in 2023 nationwide must meet the following requirements:
- Conduct and academic performance for the entire school year of junior high school classes are ranked from Good and above;
- Graduated from secondary school with good grade or higher.
(The school will check the transcript when the successful candidate completes the admission procedures)
1.2. Admission criteria

2.1. Application form
- Each candidate can register for one of three specialized classes (Literature, History, Geography). The registration file includes:
(1) Registration form (03 votes according to the model ofUniversity of Social Sciences and Humanities) – Candidates download and print 03 forms according to the formHERE(Just print in black and white, no color needed).
(2) Photocopy of birth certificate (no notarization required);
(3)02 4×6 cm photos in an envelope, write full name and date of birth on the back of the photo (Not including photos attached to other documents in the file).
- Note: Candidates prepare their own application bags, clearly write personal information and documents in the application on the outside cover of the application bag.
2.2. Admission fee
Registration and exam fee: 450,000 VND/1 application (paid once with the application, non-refundable if you drop out of the exam).
Candidates transfer money according to the instructions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
2.3. Receive application documents
From March 13, the school will issue application forms (download application form athttp://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vn).
Application period: From April 3, 2023 to May 5, 2023. Candidates submit their applications in one of the following two ways:
a) Submit application directly at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (office hours on weekdays, except holidays, Saturdays and Sundays):
Candidates submit application documents and registration fees directly at the Training Department, Room 611, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.
b) Submit application by post:
Candidates submit application and fee according to the following instructions:
- Send documents by express mail to the address: Training Department, Room 611, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi. Phone: 0862.155.299 (Note: Application submission time is calculated according to the postmark. Candidates need to choose an express delivery unit to support direct submission of application at the application collection location).

2.4. View contest information
In order to support candidates with more information about their application documents, the University publishes the list of candidates registering for specialized classes on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (http://tuyensinh.ussh.edu.vn) before May 15, 2023.
From 20/5/2023:Candidates can view exam information (registration number, exam room, exam location and exam room regulations) on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The school does not send exam admission notices to candidates.
2.5. Accept corrections and adjustments to contest information

2.6. Exam subjects and exam format
- Exam subjects:Candidates must take 4 written exams including: Literature, Math, English and specialized subjects (specialized Literature, specialized History, specialized Geography).
- Exam format:The exam is designed in essay form for Literature and specialized subjects, multiple choice for Math and English (Candidates can see the structure of the 2023 entrance exam for grade 10 at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities announced).HERE)
- Exam time:Literature test time is 90 minutes, Math test time is 50 minutes, English test time is 45 minutes, specialized subjects test time is 150 minutes.
- Exam score scale:Test scores are calculated on a 10-point scale.

(Exam schedule may change due to force majeure).

2.8. Admission method
- Candidates included in the admission list must be candidates who have taken all 4 exams and have not violated the exam regulations. The exam score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the specialized subject score must be 6.0 or higher.
- Admission is based on the principle of taking the total score from high to low until the quota for each specialized class is full. The admission score is the total score of the exam subjects on a 10-point scale, the specialized subject multiplied by a coefficient of 2 and rounded to two decimal places.
- No bonus points in admission.
- In the 2023-2024 school year, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities will not consider direct admission. Evidence related to students' special achievements will be submitted when students are admitted.
2.9. Announcement of exam results
Before July 1, 2023:Announce exam results, admission results for specialized classes and admission information for high-quality classes on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

3.1. Candidates and conditions for admission
Candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the high-quality class of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2023 if they meet the following conditions:
a) Candidates who meet the admission requirements in Section I and have taken the entrance exam for specialized classes in 2023 of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities but have not passed the specialized program, with an exam score of each subject (including specialized subjects) of 4.0 or higher.
b) Candidates who have registered for admission to the high-quality class of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2023 according to the instructions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
3.2. Admission criteria
- The total admission score is the total score of 3 subjects: Literature, Math and English. Consider the total score from high to low until the quota is met.
- Time for receiving applications for admission to high-quality classes, time for announcing admission results, etc. and related regulations will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities after announcing the admission results for specialized classes.
