Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and University of Social Sciences and Humanities cooperate to compile Ninh Thuan Gazetteer

The delegation of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department included Mr. Tran Minh Nam (Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department); Mr. Le Anh Dung (Director of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology), and representatives of a number of departments and offices of the Propaganda Department and the Ninh Thuan Department of Science and Technology. Ninh Thuan is a locality that has cooperated with the Institute of Policy and Management, Faculty of Management Science of the University in recent times.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong welcomed the delegation of Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, introduced the tradition and achievements in training, scientific research and community service of the University, especially emphasizing the results and experiences in policy consulting, consulting, reviewing socio-economic development strategies, science, technology and innovation strategies, giving comments on draft resolutions and documents of Party congresses at all levels of the University and shared more: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is presiding over 8 volumes out of a total of 28 volumes of the National Geographic of Vietnam (Quoc Chi). In addition, the school is also organizing and presiding over the compilation of many local historical and geographical records for many localities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, etc. With the strength of being a multidisciplinary and multi-field scientific research and training institution, the school can completely organize a group of experts in many fields: management science, history, literature, language, religion, politics, culture, ethnicity, etc. to successfully complete scientific tasks if Ninh Thuan province is interested and places orders. Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong also highly appreciated the cooperation proposals of Ninh Thuan province and the policy of coordinating the compilation of the local records of Ninh Thuan province's leaders.

Mr. Tran Minh Nam highly appreciated the tradition as well as the capacity of scientific research and policy consulting of the School and suggested that in the coming time, the School continue to support the Province in the tasks of building specific and breakthrough strategies in science and technology, planning the science and technology network, developing science and technology enterprises, and training to improve leadership and management capacity for the Province's officials.

Mr. Tran Minh Nam also shared: The task of compiling a set of geographical records of Ninh Thuan province has been of great concern to the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee and has been implemented since 2001. During this term, the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee has assigned the Propaganda Department to preside over this important task. Therefore, the Propaganda Department of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee hopes that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - a leading unit in social sciences and humanities in the country, with a team of highly qualified and experienced researchers and Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Chief of the National Administrative Records) will coordinate to support and advise Ninh Thuan province to successfully compile a set of geographical records of the province.

With experience in presiding over and participating in the development of historical books and writing geographical books for many localities, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh emphasized: In addition to the policies of coordination in the development of policies and strategies for science and technology of the province, it can be said that the coordination in compiling a geographical book of Ninh Thuan province is a very timely policy of the provincial leaders. We are very happy and ready to participate if the locality trusts us.

Representatives of units and faculties in the school all expressed their appreciation for this cooperation between the school and the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee and affirmed that this cooperation is not only a scientific task but also an important political task. Scientists, staff and lecturers, if mobilized, will be ready to participate so that the project can be completed on schedule and with the highest quality.

Mr. Le Anh Dung (Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Science and Technology) completely agreed with the proposals of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and added: The implementation of the development of specific policies for the development of science and technology of the province as well as the coordination in building and completing the local geography are important political tasks, so the departments and branches of Ninh Thuan province will be responsible for coordinating well, creating all conditions for the university's experts to complete their tasks.

Concluding the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong thanked Ninh Thuan province for its support and trust in the School, once again affirming the urgency, scientific and practical significance of the cooperation proposals between the School and Ninh Thuan province and believing that with the support and facilitation of provincial leaders, the experience and high professional qualifications of experts from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the close coordination from local experts, the scientific tasks will certainly be successfully implemented. Immediately after today's meeting, upon receiving the order from the Department of Science and Technology of Ninh Thuan province, the School will immediately establish expert groups to prepare proposals to submit to the Province for registration as soon as possible.
