According to Mr. Choi Jae Jin - Director of Global Programs of the Korea Foundation, the Korean Studies Forum has been held in many countries around the world. In Vietnam, KF confidently chose the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU as a partner to organize this international forum.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the form and content of cooperation, and the specific time to organize the Forum. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities emphasized that, as the coordinating agency and responsible for professional consultancy, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will create all conditions for the forum to be successfully organized.
With the aim of expanding Korean training and research in aspects related to science, technology, and engineering (STEM), this Korean Studies Forum hopes to receive the support of leaders in training and research in social sciences and humanities and science and technology to achieve some expected results such as:
- Build a network of researchers related to Korea, promote cooperation in developing Korean studies in Vietnam, promote research activities related to Korea and exchange of personnel between the two countries.
- Carry out the transfer and absorption of Korean educational experience, propose university lecturer training programs through the development of educational ODA, combined with the development of public diplomacy.
- Establish and form a path of cooperation between Korean enterprises and training and research institutions in Vietnam, establish a friendly connection system between universities (training talents) and Korean companies (using talents, reinvesting in education), contributing to the development of Korean studies and the national interests of the two countries.
The Korean Studies Forum is a prestigious international scientific and cooperation event, expected to attract the participation of state agencies, organizations, businesses, universities, research institutes, and domestic and international scientists and educators.
Representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and the Korea Foundation for International Exchange have reached many consensuses in coordinating the organization of the Korean Studies Forum in Hanoi.
