VNU-USSH lecturers and students attend the meeting between Vietnamese and Chinese students

On March 20, 03 lecturers, 60 students and Chinese students studying at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) participated in a meeting to exchange Vietnamese and Chinese students of all periods, chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

A special occasion to reminisce

About 800 Vietnamese and Chinese delegates Generations of students - who have directly witnessed the development of relations between the two countries over the years - were present. In addition, there was the participation of representatives of the young generations of Vietnam and China.
In an emotional atmosphere, senior leaders, Chinese friends and students from both countries recalled the profound memories and good feelings they had during their time studying and working in both countries. The delegates also believed that the relationship between the two Parties and two countries would continue to develop well in the future.
Speaking at the meeting, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi affirmed that the relationship between the two countries in recent years, especially in recent years, has witnessed historic mutual visits by the highest leaders of the two Parties and two countries.
He believes and hopes that the young generation of the two countries will continue to play a core role in developing the Vietnam-China relationship, so that the "young tree of friendship" between China and Vietnam will become a lush "forest of friendship" between China and Vietnam.

Speaking afterwards, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the significance of the meeting, saying that this was a special occasion to convey the message about the role and determination of students of the two countries through the periods in developing the relationship between the two countries.
Recalling the solid foundation of bilateral relations that has been painstakingly cultivated by generations of leaders of the two countries, the General Secretary affirmed that throughout the revolutionary journey of each side, the two countries have always given each other great, sincere and wholehearted help and support.
The General Secretary affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam consistently attach importance to and give top priority to the Vietnam-China relationship. Vietnam is determined to work with the Party and State of China to develop the relationship for the happiness of the people of the two countries and for the cause of peace and progress of mankind.
On this occasion, he also expressed his gratitude to China for accepting and creating the best conditions for Vietnamese officials, students and overseas Vietnamese to study and conduct research. Thanks to that, many generations of Vietnamese intellectuals have grown up and made important contributions to Vietnam's revolutionary cause and the Vietnam-China friendship.

Assessing that the youth of the two countries are playing a good role as "young cultural ambassadors", General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the leaders of the two Parties and two countries pay special attention and expect that the young generations of the two countries will inherit the tradition of Vietnam-China friendship, bringing strong vitality and a bright future to the bilateral relationship.
He affirmed that reality has shown that the affection between the people of the two countries is inspired and maintained by the young generation. The young generation of the two countries is the core force in developing the Vietnam - China relationship well, effectively and sustainably.
General Secretary To Lam also made some suggestions for the youth and younger generations of the two countries. Among them, they should strive to study and practice to master science and technology, thereby making practical and creative contributions and helping to consolidate the material foundation of the relationship between the two countries.

The General Secretary also suggested that Vietnamese students studying abroad take advantage of valuable study and research opportunities in China to absorb the quintessence of Chinese civilization and the achievements and experiences in socio-economic development and advanced science and technology of the neighboring country.
As for the young Chinese generation, he welcomed more and more Chinese youth to come to Vietnam to study, learn about Vietnamese language and culture, as well as seek investment, business and development opportunities.
On this occasion, he suggested that the Youth Union and Student Associations of the two countries promote practical youth exchange and cooperation programs in 2025. This year has been identified as the "Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year".
