Receive and work with Deputy Ambassador of Singapore Embassy in Vietnam

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu introduced to Mr. Tan Weiming about the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities. The school was officially established in October 2019, becoming the first high school to train elite students in Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. In addition to training specialized subjects, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities also focuses on teaching foreign languages, skills, and qualities necessary for students to adapt to the learning and working environment in the future. The school also implements an internationalization policy, wishing to establish and develop relationships and connections with advanced partners in the world.

Mr. Tan Weiming highly appreciated the internationalization policy of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities. He expressed that the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam is ready to support the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities to connect with high schools in Singapore, seek scholarship opportunities, and implement short- and long-term exchange programs. In the coming time, when the Covid-19 epidemic has subsided, the Singapore Embassy plans to work with the School to organize events to introduce the environment and educational institutions in Singapore.

After the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu invited Mr. Tan Weiming to visit the facilities, landscape and classrooms of the School to get an overview in order to plan the next directions of cooperation.
