NoCode – Technology for sustainable digital society and digital humanity has been spread at USSH

Tuesday - April 15, 2025 04:56
On April 12-13, 2025, the Institute of Policy and Management (IPAM) under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, organized the first NoCode training course for lecturers and resource students. The program was accompanied by technology partners including Zoho Creator, VISIA, i3 Network Systems and Citizen Developer - marking a practical start for the journey of popularizing technology in the social and humanities field.
Just three months after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in January 2025, the course was launched as a concrete commitment betweenIPAMand partners. More than just a digital skills training program, the program is also a strong affirmation: technology is no longer the privilege of programmers, but has become a universal power for all citizens.
When technology becomes the common language of society
Speaking at the opening of the training course, Associate Professor, Dr. Do Huong Lan - Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, compared NoCode to a new wave of "Digital Literacy for the People". If nearly 80 years ago, Vietnamese people stood up to learn to read and write to master their lives, today, NoCode is helping each individual "know how to write applications", create their own tools for work, study and start-up - without programming.
The course is part of the global Young Creators Program (YCP), which aims to equip students and lecturers with digital skills, helping them to proactively integrate, innovate their thinking, and actively participate in the strategy of developing the Digital Economy - Digital Society according to the Government's orientation.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Do Huong Lan delivered the opening speech at the NoCode training course for lecturers and students.
From technology user to solution creator
Throughout the course, students are exposed to the “learning by doing” method, practicing right on the Zoho Creator platform to build simple applications such as: human resource management, job evaluation according to MBO, community surveys, progress tracking. With dedicated guidance from the team of experts, many students have created their first digital application for the first time.
What is admirable is that the majority of the students are lecturers and students from the social sciences and humanities, without a technological background, but still learn quickly, are creative, and demonstrate great transformational capacity when inspired and given the right tools.
“This is the first time I have seen technology so close. The course is very useful and practical, helping me feel more confident in building tools for my research group” – a student shared.
According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, the Nocode platform is very suitable for office workers, especially in managing topics, projects or daily administrative work. "I hope that in the future, the program can expand the training subjects, not only for lecturers or students but also for specialists and staff of departments to participate in the training to apply in practical work. Besides, I think if possible, YCP can accompany the School of Humanities to apply this platform widely and comprehensively, helping units in the school optimize administrative management work in a more synchronous and effective direction" - Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said.
Humane Technology - ESG Practice in Education
NoCode has proven to be not just a tool, but a new way of thinking – vividly demonstrating the two pillars of Social and Governance in ESG: Socially (S), the course has contributed to improving digital capacity for the community, breaking down technological barriers for non-specialists, promoting liberal education and empowering individuals in the academic environment. In terms of governance (G), the applications built in the course can be directly applied to teaching, research, and administration – from classroom management, internal assessment, to public service unit management.
It is no coincidence that 96% of students surveyed rated “satisfied” and “very satisfied” with the quality of the course; nearly 95% were willing to recommend the program to others; and more than 88% wanted to take advanced courses in the future. These numbers are living proof of the positive influence of NoCode in higher education.

Commitment to accompany - Creating a sustainable digital future
This NoCode training course did not end with a certification ceremony, but opened a long-term journey of companionship between YCP Team and IPAM. With the motto "no one is left behind in digital transformation", YCP commits to:
- Continue to support students for 45 - 90 days after the course, with the possibility of extending to 1 year, through coaching sessions and consulting on actual product implementation.
- Provide official Zoho Creator accounts to students, according to the list from the school.
- Organize specialized workshops, technical support chains and group mentoring, helping each idea to be nurtured and developed.
In particular, the program also laid the foundation for building a team of coaches (Coaching YCP) right at USSH. Within the framework of the program, 15 lecturers, staff and 10 students were awarded scholarships after careful evaluation rounds, selected from 45 submitted applications. This is not only a reward for capacity and progressive spirit, but also a recognition of the pioneering efforts of the students in approaching and applying new technology in the field of social sciences and humanities. Lecturers and staff participating in the first course will be trained in depth, gradually taking on the main teaching role in the following courses, with direct supervision from YCP experts in the first 2-5 classes. The ultimate goal is to help the school be autonomous in training in humanities technology, expanding innovative programs applying technology in many fields.
Students actively participate in practice at the course.
Closing a course - Starting a journey
The NoCode training course at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is not simply a skill training activity. It is a declaration of action on technological equality, a push to change thinking, and the seed of an innovative ecosystem with humanistic - liberal - technological identity.
With the synchronous participation of the school, technology partners and a team of experts, the journey to bring NoCode closer to students of Social Sciences and Humanities has just begun - but has ignited confidence, inspiration and initiative in the digital age.
“Technology is not for anyone - it is for everyone. Anyone can become a digital creator if given the opportunity and the right guidance” - as stated by Associate Professor, Dr. Do Huong Lan when summarizing and closing the Training Course.
