Dear all,

Exactly 70 years ago, in the context of the country having just gained independence, understanding the aspirations of a nation that loves peace, freedom and is striving to eliminate poverty and backwardness, on October 10, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the Provisional Government, signed Decree No. 45 to establish the University of Literature in Hanoi with the desire to develop national culture and education, so that Vietnam can soon become a modern and prosperous country.'keep up with the world'. That was a very wise and correct decision, demonstrating the strategic vision of a genius leader about the role and mission of Social Sciences and Humanities in the cause of building and developing the country. After 9 years of long resistance war with countless hardships and sacrifices, teachers and students of the University of Literature contributed their part to the common victory of the nation, creating a Dien Bien Phu "famous in 5 continents, shaking the world". After peace was restored, in 1956, inheriting and continuing the tradition of the University of Literature, the Party and the Government decided to establish Hanoi University of Science to meet the new development requirements of the country. During the fierce years of the resistance war against the US, despite having to evacuate to many rural areas in the North, with the protection and care of the people, teachers and students of the University of Science still diligently researched, trained, and actively participated in the emulation movement."pen hand gun hand" and have successfully completed the assigned tasks. After the country was reunited, since 1975, the lecturers and staff of Hanoi National University have not only completed their tasks well, but also actively supported and helped other schools, making an important contribution to the cause of building a young revolutionary university in the southern provinces. Then, from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, at the request of the neighboring country and to carry out international tasks, hundreds of staff of the University volunteered to go to Cambodia to participate in the program of teaching Vietnamese language and Vietnamese culture, in order to strengthen solidarity and contribute to the revival of the country of pagodas after the genocide. In the early 1990s, implementing the Party and State's policy on building a leading multidisciplinary and multi-field training center of the country, Hanoi National University was established with four member universities, including the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Since 1995, the School has begun to operate independently within the new structure of Hanoi National University.
