The motto of this year's student volunteer campaign is "Youth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities join hands to build new rural areas", based on the principles of safety, efficiency, practicality, applying and promoting the expertise and strengths of the University in volunteer areas. The goal is to create a healthy environment for union members and students to be trained, cultivated and have the opportunity to contribute, mature, and contribute to building the homeland and the country. Through each activity, students will be trained in life skills, behavioral culture and a heart of love and sharing with the community, thereby contributing to training students who are "both red and specialized".- What are the main volunteer activities the school has planned for this summer, sir?Implementing the direction and guidance of the higher-level Youth Union and the direction and orientation of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the Standing Committee of the School Youth Union has organized and implemented the 2012 Summer Volunteer Campaign with the following models: the volunteer model to support the exam season, the model of Propagating the culture and history of Thang Long - Hanoi, the volunteer model in Quan Ba ​​district, Ha Giang and in Ba Vi district, Hanoi and the volunteer model of the clubs. In addition, promoting the strengths of the School, there will be a team of campaign reporters deployed in all volunteer areas to promptly report news, articles and images throughout the volunteer summer. For students who are not able to participate in volunteer models, the School Youth Union will issue a summer activity certificate to participate in local summer activities. To ensure the most effective implementation and organization of volunteer campaigns, with the requirements and characteristics of volunteer models, the School Youth Union will take advantage of and maximize the professional strengths of each unit in implementing volunteering. The selected volunteers need to be enthusiastic, healthy, experienced, and courageous. In addition, in order to increase opportunities for exchange, sharing, and learning between units, the School Youth Union also builds teams with the participation of students from many faculties. This implementation method has shown initial effectiveness over a few years, while also increasing the mobilization of additional resources for volunteer activities.- How has the management and safety of student volunteers been taken care of?Safety is an important goal to ensure the success of the campaign. From the beginning of planning, the Steering Committee has paid close attention to all stages: from selecting volunteers, sending them to training courses, providing necessary guidance documents, ensuring security in volunteer areas to establishing team leaders and assigning comrades in the standing committee to direct, monitor and regularly pay attention, encourage and closely coordinate to promptly resolve problems arising in volunteer areas. The school's Youth Union and the Steering Committee of the 2012 Summer Volunteer Campaign have also had a working plan and will maintain regular contact with the locality where volunteer activities are taking place in ensuring safety and facilities so that student volunteers can work with peace of mind.- What's new in the policy and reward system for student volunteers doing community activities this year?All groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing volunteer campaigns according to the set goals and principles will be considered for awards at all levels. Not only teams operating far away but also teams implementing volunteer activities at the School will be recognized for their contributions, as long as you demonstrate the true volunteer spirit of the youth volunteers: no matter who you are, no matter where you work, the most important thing is what you have contributed to the community and society.- Entering an exciting summer of volunteering, as Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, what feelings do you have to share with the volunteer students?Summer volunteering has long been an indispensable movement for young people. Every summer, union members and young people set out with the spirit of "wherever needed, there are youth, wherever difficult, there are youth". Each of you is from a different hometown, with different personalities and expertise, but they all have one thing in common, which is the dedication of youth to volunteer activities. We hope that the green shirt soldiers will show all their enthusiasm with the fire of youth wherever and whenever you go. When I was a student, I was also a green shirt soldier, participating with my friends in volunteer activities of the School Union. Until now, in the position of a union leader, continuing to organize social charity activities, sharing for the community and witnessing the green shirt soldiers enthusiastically setting out to participate in volunteer campaigns, I feel like I am reliving the emotions of the days of student shock troops.- What experiences and lessons have your past journeys left you with?Every summer, on every volunteer path, there are memories, memories and emotions that can never be fully told. Youth is the time when we strive for noble ideals, to contribute to our homeland and country. Life gives you the opportunity to do what you want, so why don't you do useful things right now, first for yourself and then contribute to beautifying this life. Participate in practical activities that contribute to the development of the community and society to become more mature, more confident and see that life is always meaningful. I have been, seen, heard and done from the smallest things to the most difficult things, some places are very close but some are very far away. But anywhere and everywhere, we always bring our youth and enthusiasm to contribute a small part to the success of each volunteer summer. After each trip, we seem to grow up, to be calmed down when thinking about everything we do, everything we think and feel the happiness of burning with our passion with the fire of youth.
