On October 16, 2010, the Faculty of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the dual bachelor's degree course in Tourism Studies, QH-2010-X, and a career counseling program for students majoring in Tourism Studies. In the 2010-2011 school year, 63 students from the University of Foreign Languages (VNU) were admitted to this major.In his speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector) emphasized the advantages of the dual bachelor's degree program in tourism studies - a joint training program between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Foreign Languages. Notably, the program focuses on knowledge, professional expertise and practical skills.

MSc. Nguyen Thu Thuy (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism) affirmed: Students participating in dual degree training not only gain foreign language knowledge but also specialized knowledge in tourism such as: Hotel Management, Travel. Therefore, when graduating, career opportunities will be more favorable. At the ceremony, the Faculty of Tourism also organized a program to exchange and provide career orientation advice for students. The guests were representatives of agencies, travel businesses, hotels: General Department of Tourism, Travel Support Company Limited, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sofitel Metrople Hotel, Melia Hanoi Hotel... discussed career orientation and job opportunities for students after graduation. Mr. Adam Riley (General Director of Crowne Plaza Hotel) gave a presentation introducing and discussing with students about necessary knowledge, skills, and career opportunities at Crowne Plaza Hotel. Many questions from students focused on the requirements of companies for students and career opportunities after graduation. Representatives of companies and businesses all affirmed that they will create conditions for students to have the opportunity to participate in internships and work both during their current studies as well as after graduation.
