On January 4, 2012, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 22/QD-TTg appointing Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son to the position of Vice President of Hanoi National University. From January 9, 2012, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Kim Son was assigned to work at Hanoi National University. While waiting for the addition and consolidation of the Board of Directors, the School Principal assigned specific tasks to the Board of Directors as follows:

- Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Permanent Vice President: In charge of Administration - Facilities, Planning - Finance, Postgraduate Training.
- Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Principal: In charge of University Training, Politics – Student Affairs, Inspection, Quality Control.
