I. SUBJECTS, CONDITIONS AND ADMISSION QUOTAS

1.1. Candidates and conditions for admission

Junior high school students graduating in 2021 nationwide must meet the following requirements:

- Conduct and academic performance for the entire school year of junior high school classes are ranked from Good and above;

- Graduated from secondary school with good grade or higher.

(The school will check the transcript when the successful candidate completes the admission procedures)

II. ADMISSION TO SPECIALIZED CLASSES

2.1. Application form

Each candidate can register for a maximum of two out of three specialized classes (Literature, History, Geography) and ranked in order of priority. The registration file includes:

(1)Registration form (Candidates download and print 03 forms according to sampleHERE);

(2)Photocopy of birth certificate (no notarization required);

(3)02 4×6 cm photos with full name and date of birth written on the back (Not including photos attached to other documents in the file).

Note:Candidates do not have to buy an application bag. The School will provide an application bag (according to the School's form) when candidates come to submit their application.

2.2. Admission fee

Application and exam fee: 400,000 VND/1 application (submitted once with the application, non-refundable if the candidate withdraws from the exam). If the candidate registers for more than 1 choice, an additional 50,000 VND/1 choice will be paid.

2.3. Receive application documents

- Application submission period: From April 5, 2021 to April 23, 2021(Business hours on weekdays, except holidays, Saturdays and Sundays).

- Application submission location: Training Department, Room 609, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.

2.4. View contest information

From 10/5/2021:Candidates can check their registration number, exam room, exam location and exam room regulations on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The school does not send exam admission notices to candidates.

2.5. Accept corrections and adjustments to contest information

Before 5:00 p.m., May 18, 2021:If there is any error in personal information, candidates should notify the Admissions Council by sending an email to the following address:[email protected]or contact directly at the Training Department, Room 609, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.

2.6. Exam subjects and exam format

- Exam subjects:Candidates must take 4 written exams including: Literature, Math, English and specialized subjects (Literature, History, Geography).

- Exam format:The exam is designed in essay form for Literature, Math and specialized subjects, and multiple choice for English.(Candidates see the structure of the 10th grade entrance exam)High School for Social Sciences and Humanities2021 on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

- Exam time:Literature test time is 120 minutes, Math test time is 90 minutes, English test time is 60 minutes, specialized subjects test time is 150 minutes.

- Exam score scale:Test scores are calculated on a 10-point scale.

2.8. Admission method

- Candidates included in the admission list must be candidates who have taken all 4 exams and have not violated the exam regulations. The exam score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the specialized subject score must be 6.0 or higher.

- Admission is based on the principle of taking the total score from high to low until the quota for each specialized class is full. The admission score is the total score of the exam subjects on a 10-point scale, the specialized subject multiplied by a coefficient of 2 and rounded to two decimal places.

- No bonus points in admission.

2.9. Announcement of exam results

Before 5:00 p.m., June 30, 2021:Exam results will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

III. ADMISSION TO HIGH QUALITY CLASS

3.1. Candidates and conditions for admission

Candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the high-quality class of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2021 if they meet the following conditions:

a) Candidates who meet the admission requirements in Section I and have taken the entrance exam for specialized classes in 2021 of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities but have not passed the specialized program, with an exam score of each subject (including the specialized subject in the first choice) of 4.0 or higher.

b) Candidates have application documents for admission to the high-quality class of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2021.

3.2. Admission criteria

- The total admission score is the total score of 3 subjects: Literature, Math and English. Consider the total score from high to low until the quota is met.

- The time and place for issuing application documents, receiving application documents for admission to high-quality grade 10, admission results, etc. will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities before June 30, 2021.
