The Vietnamese History major only recruits according to the training project according to strategic tasks (reaching international standards).
I. Contestants
Citizens of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam who meet all the conditions specified in the Regulations on postgraduate training at Vietnam National University, Hanoi issued under Decision No. 1555/QD-VNU dated May 25, 2011 of the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
II. Conditions for admission to master's training
1. Candidates applying for the master's training program at Hanoi National University must fully meet the following conditions: a, Have a clear personal history, not currently being prosecuted for criminal liability; b, Have a university degree in a major that is correct or suitable for the major registered for the exam; or have a regular university degree in a major close to the major registered for the exam, have taken supplementary courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in the major registered for the exam; c, Have at least one year of work experience in a professional field suitable for the major registered for the exam (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of the exam) except for those with a university degree of good grade or higher, in a major that is correct or suitable for the major registered for the exam; d, Have good enough health to study; 2. Candidates applying for the international standard master's program must meet all the same conditions as candidates applying for the Hanoi National University's standard master's program, in addition to: a, Having an original English certificate of IELTS 4.0, TOEFL 400 points or higher or equivalent issued by the University of Foreign Languages or an assessment organization. These certificates are valid for 24 months from the date of issue or the date of the exam; b, Having a commitment to participate in the course in a concentrated form.
III. Specializations with some special notes
1. Major in Political Science/Ho Chi Minh Studies* Regarding qualifications - Have a university degree in Political Science or a degree suitable for Political Science; - Or have a regular university degree in the following majors: Philosophy, History, International Studies, Political Education (Civic Education), Management Science (Social Management), Journalism, Party Building and State Administration, Law, Sociology, Political Economy, Foreign Economics after completing additional knowledge (31 credits) to have a level equivalent to a university degree in Political Science; - Or have a regular university degree in other majors after completing additional knowledge (51 credits) to have a level equivalent to a university degree in Political Science. * Years of work experience - People with a good university degree or higher can take the exam immediately after graduating from university in the same or suitable major as the registered major. - People with an average university degree in the same or similar major as the major they are applying for, or a degree in a major close to the major they are applying for, must have at least one year of work experience in a specialized field appropriate to the major they are applying for (from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam). - People with a degree in another major must have at least three years of work experience in a specialized field appropriate to the major they are applying for (from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam).
2. Major in Information Science and Library* Regarding qualifications - Have a university degree in the same or similar major as the Library Information major; - Or have a regular university degree in a major close to the Library Information major, having taken supplementary courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in the Library Information major; - Or have a regular university degree in other majors after having a certificate of supplementary courses. * Working experience - People with a good university degree or higher can take the exam immediately after graduating from university in the same or similar major as the registered major. - People with an average university degree in the same or similar major as the registered major or graduated from a major close to the registered major, must have at least one year of working experience in the professional field suitable for the registered major (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam). - Those with a degree in another field must have at least three years of working experience in a specialized field relevant to the major they are applying for (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam).
3. Major in Science and Technology Management* Regarding qualifications: Have a full-time university degree, specialized or part-time, and have a certificate of additional knowledge of the major for which the exam is being held. * Working experience and candidates: Have at least one year of working experience in a field related to the major for which the exam is being held (from the date of signing the decision to recognize university graduation to the date of the exam), in one of the following positions: leader and specialist of science and technology management units of state administrative and career agencies; political organizations; socio-political organizations; socio-professional organizations; enterprises of different economic sectors; non-governmental organizations.
4. Tourism Major* Regarding qualifications - Have a university degree in Tourism; - Or have a regular degree in tourism economics, tourism geography, tourism culture; - Or have a university degree in another major. * Regarding working experience - People with a good university degree or higher can take the exam immediately after graduating from university in the same or similar major as the registered major. - People with a regular degree in tourism economics, tourism geography, tourism culture must have at least one year of working experience in a professional field suitable for the registered major (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on university graduation recognition to the date of taking the exam) and have taken supplementary courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in tourism. - People who have a university degree in another field but have at least three years of continuous work in the tourism field (from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam) have taken additional courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in tourism.
5. Major in Journalism* Regarding qualifications - Have a university degree in a major that is correct or appropriate to the Journalism major; - Or have a regular university degree in a major close to the Journalism major, having taken supplementary courses to have a level equivalent to a university degree in Journalism; - Or have a regular university degree in other majors after having a certificate of supplementary courses. * Working experience - People with a good university degree or higher can take the exam immediately after graduating from university in a major that is correct or appropriate to the major they registered for the exam. - People with an average university degree in a major that is correct or appropriate to the major they registered for the exam or graduated from a major close to the major they registered for the exam, must have at least one year of working experience in a professional field that is appropriate to the major they registered for the exam (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam). - Those with a degree in another field must have at least three years of working experience in a specialized field relevant to the major they are applying for (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the date of taking the exam).
IV. Conditions for applying for doctoral training
1. Candidates applying for the doctoral training program at Hanoi National University must fully meet the following conditions: a, Have a clear personal history, and are not currently being prosecuted for criminal liability. b, Meet one of the following conditions regarding degrees and published works: - Have a master's degree in a research-oriented field or a master's thesis with 10 credits or more in a major that is correct or appropriate, or close to the major registered for admission; - Have a master's degree in a practice-oriented field that is correct or appropriate, or close to the major registered for admission and have at least one article published in a scientific journal or a collection of scientific conference works before submitting the application; - Have a master's degree in another major and have a regular university degree in a major that is correct or appropriate to the major registered for admission. In this case, candidates must have at least one article published in a scientific journal or a collection of scientific conference papers before submitting their application and must take the exam according to the regulations for those who do not have a master's degree; - Have a regular university degree in the right major, with a good grade or higher, and have at least one article published in a scientific journal or a collection of scientific conference papers before submitting their application; - Have a regular university degree in the right major, with a good grade, and have at least two articles published in a scientific journal or a collection of scientific conference papers before submitting their application. The content of the articles must be consistent with the major for which they are applying and must be published in a scientific journal of Hanoi National University, prestigious national and international scientific journals, or in a collection of papers (with review) of a national and international scientific conference that has been officially published. c, Be recommended by at least two scientists with the title of professor, associate professor or doctorate of science, doctorate in the same major or research field, including one scientist who is assigned to guide the thesis; d, Have a research outline, clearly stating the reasons for choosing the research field, the reasons for choosing the training institution, research objectives, implementation plan during the training period; the experiences and professional knowledge that the candidate has prepared and the expected scientific activity plan after completing the doctoral training program; e, Candidates for the PhD exam must have at least 2 years of professional work in the field of the major registered for the exam (from the date of signing the decision to recognize university graduation to the date of admission), except in the case of transfer students; h, Be healthy enough to study. 2. Candidates applying for the international standard doctoral training program must meet all the conditions as candidates applying for the Hanoi National University standard doctoral training program, in addition to: a, Having an original English certificate of IELTS 4.5, TOEFL 450 points or higher or equivalent issued by the University of Foreign Languages or an assessment organization. These certificates are valid for 24 months from the date of issue or the date of the exam; b, Having a commitment to participate in the course in a concentrated form.
V. Priority policies in admission
1. Candidates who are given priority in admission are the following subjects: a, Having worked for two consecutive years or more (as of the exam date) in communes in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions in mountainous, highland, remote and island areas according to the Government's regulations. b, War invalids, sick soldiers, people who enjoy the same policies as war invalids; c, Heroes of the armed forces, Heroes of labor, people with meritorious services to the revolution; d, Ethnic minorities in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions. 2. Priority subjects must have all valid supporting documents according to the regulations of Hanoi National University and must submit them fully and on time with the application for admission. 3. Candidates who are in priority subjects will be awarded an additional ten points (on a scale of 100) for the foreign language subject and one point (on a scale of 10) for the basic subject. Candidates who are in multiple priority subjects will only receive priority once.
VI. Exam subjects
Basic subjects, fundamental subjects, foreign language subjects (1 of 5 languages: Russian, German, English, French, Chinese in multiple choice form, one common test for both master's and doctoral training levels).
VII. Application documents
The application is issued at the school, including: 1. Application form according to the form of Hanoi National University. 2. CV certified by the management agency or local authority of the place of residence (for those who do not work in state or non-state agencies, units or enterprises, or those who work in agencies but are not sent to study by the agency). 3. Certificate of good health for study from a general hospital (valid for 6 months from the date of application submission). 4. Certified copies of the following certificates and diplomas: - University graduation certificate and full university transcript with confirmation of the classification of the competent authority granting the degree (for those applying for master's training or doctoral training but do not have a master's degree); master's degree and master's transcript (for those applying for doctoral training who already have a master's degree) - Certificate of supplementary knowledge (if required to take supplementary knowledge); - Recruitment and appointment decision (if a state official) or long-term labor contract and certificate of seniority. - Notarized copy of legal documents on priority subjects (if any) - Legal documents on foreign language proficiency (if any) 5. Letter of recommendation for taking the exam from the head of the management agency for those working in state or non-state agencies, units, and enterprises. 6. Three envelopes with the candidate's address written on them, with stamps and four 3x4 photos. 7. Research outline, scientific CV and copies of published research works (for candidates applying for doctoral training). 8. Two letters of recommendation from two scientists with the scientific title of Professor, Associate Professor, or the degree of Doctor of Science, Doctor of Science in the same major, one of whom will be the thesis supervisor. The recommendation letter must include comments and assessments of the candidate's abilities and qualities (for candidates applying for doctoral training).
VIII. Subjects exempted from foreign language exam
1. Have a regular university degree in a foreign language in one of the five languages: English, Russian, French, German, Chinese; 2. Have a university, master's or doctoral degree from a foreign country where the language used in study and research is one of the five languages mentioned above; 3. Have an original English certificate of IELTS 4.0, TOEFL 400 or higher or equivalent issued by the University of Foreign Languages or an assessment organization (for applicants for master's training); IELTS 4.5, TOEFL 450 or higher or equivalent issued by the University of Foreign Languages or an assessment organization (for applicants for doctoral training). These certificates are valid for 24 months from the date of issue or the date of the exam. 4. Have an original foreign language certificate confirming the level of postgraduate training at VNU, issued by the University of Foreign Languages, which is still valid and corresponds to the training level registered for the exam.
IX. Enrollment plan
Selling documents: from June 4 to July 13, 2012 (except Saturday and Sunday). Receiving documents: from July 16 to July 27, 2012 (except Saturday and Sunday).
