According to the enrollment plan, in 2020, VNU will enroll 10,320 students with 131 majors/training programs, including 14 new majors adapted to the new labor market. Many new majors are designed to serve the training of human resources directly related to the digital transformation revolution and new issues such as: Data Science, Electronic Engineering and Information Technology; Food Science and Technology; Integrated Technology for Monitoring Resources and Environment; Marketing, Japanese Studies, Nursing, Preschool Education, Primary Education, etc.

In 2020, VNU will conduct regular university admissions according to the announced methods: (1) Admission based on the results of the 2020 national high school exam according to the corresponding combination of subjects/exams; (2) Candidates with an international certificate from the University of Cambridge Examination Center, UK (Cambridge International Examinations A-Level, UK; hereinafter referred to as the A-Level certificate); (3) Candidates with results in the standardized SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test, USA) that meet the regulations on the threshold to ensure input quality of VNU; (4) Candidates with an IELTS English certificate of 5.5 or higher or equivalent international English certificates and a total score of the remaining 2 subjects in the admission combination of at least 12 points (including Math or Literature). The direct admission criteria will be announced in early May 2020.
In case the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic makes it impossible to organize the national high school exam as planned, VNU will implement a separate entrance exam in the form of a shortened capacity assessment, including the Math component - Literature component (or essay) - Foreign language... for admission. Candidates will be pre-qualified based on their high school study results before taking the separate exam of VNU. Detailed information on registration and exam conditions will be announced before May 30, 2020.
In case the Covid-19 pandemic develops in a direction that requires social distancing to continue until August 2020, VNU will consider recruiting candidates based on high school academic results combined with remote assessment and testing methods.
