Student Volunteer Team turns 18

The SVTN Assault Team is a unit under the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. They are students wearing green volunteer shirts operating according to the 3H criteria: Effective - Active - Humorous. The Assault Team is the right arm for the School to participate in major events such as: Exam Support, Admissions, Welcome to New Students, 5 Good Student Festival, Military Departure Ceremony, Graduation Ceremony, etc. In addition, the team is also very active in volunteer activities and programs outside the school. Some typical activities of the SVTN Assault Team include: Spring Giving Back Love, Love for Muong Chieng, etc.

The SVTN Xung Kích team was established on May 19, 2000, and is now 18 years old. 18 years old is a truly impressive period of time for a student team. Established with the enthusiasm of youth and the pride of wearing the green volunteer uniform, the Xung Kích team annually attracts hundreds of candidates to apply for the team. Each recruitment period, the team admits 40-50 new members.

After 18 years of operation, the SVTN Xung Kich has a valuable asset of awards and certificates of merit at all levels, from school-level awards to VNU-Hanoi awards. But perhaps the most valuable thing is the affection that the members have for the team even after they have graduated. Student Nguyen Thi Phuong Chung - the school's valedictorian, former member of the SVTN Xung Kich team shared: "The memories of my 4 years of university are closely associated with the activities of the teams that I participated in. First of all, I have to mention the SVTN Xung Kich team. The green shirt is something sacred to students. Up to this moment, when I have not worn the green shirt for quite a long time, I feel very nostalgic. I remember the days of participating in activities, eating lunch boxes with everyone during university entrance exams, contributing my youth to community activities, I feel very proud".

18 years is as long as a person’s youth and each member of the team also spent 4 years of their youth attached to the green shirt. Perhaps that is why the 18th birthday, with the theme “Youth left behind”, the program brought many emotions to the members. Generations of team members performed together to express their close bond. The most memorable moment was when watching the videos shared by former students about the team.

After 18 years of establishment and development, the SVTN Xung Kich team has always been a typical model, helping to affirm its own identity of youth and humanistic enthusiasm.
