The course will take place from September 4 to January 31, 2019 with the participation of Vietnamese and foreign students, including some students from the United States, Spain and Ireland. Students will listen to lectures on issues such as: Humanitarian leadership program, international relations in humanitarian cooperation to respond to disasters - the case of ASEAN, anthropology and cultural aspects in humanitarian action... After that, students will have a three-month internship and write a final report. Lecturers in the course come from international NGOs such as World Vision Vietnam, Oxfam Vietnam, Vietnam Red Cross Society as well as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) sent his warmest greetings to all students, especially international students. The Rector said that as a member school of VNU, the University is promoting its internationalization strategy, so accepting international students is a priority task. The Rector hopes that you will have a memorable time studying and researching here. In addition, the Rector invited you to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2018-2019 school year organized by the University on September 27.

Last year, on May 19, 2017, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, signed a memorandum of cooperation with representatives of the Network for International Humanitarian Action (NOHA). Accordingly, the two sides will establish mutual relations based on academic, scientific and cultural cooperation. Areas of cooperation between NOHA and the University include exchanges of students, lecturers and researchers; provision of courses on humanitarian action, and joint collaboration in publishing activities and research projects.
