Participating in the press conference, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication brought typical publications and information introducing the outstanding research and training achievements of the Faculty. Currently, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication is the only faculty-level unit that trains both Journalism and Public Relations, training all 3 levels from bachelor to doctorate in Journalism. In 2018, the Faculty implemented the enrollment of MSc in Applied Journalism with input from students of all majors and the international joint training program MSc in Media Management in association with Stirling University (UK). The Faculty also introduced many short-term intensive training courses that are of interest to press agencies such as: Designing ideas and creating new media products, Modern television documentaries, Journalism in disasters and emergencies (breaking news), Mobile Journalism - Mobile Journalism, Data journalism and Infographic information products, Journalism economics - models and practical applications, Corporate communication.

In addition, the Faculty has been implementing 3 State-level research topics and dozens of scientific research topics at all levels and many media consulting projects for press agencies, businesses, agencies, units... Some research results of lecturers in the Faculty have been published in ISI, Scopus and international journals.
The Faculty's exhibition booth was honored to welcome many leaders of the Party and State such as National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Thuan Huu, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan and hundreds of visitors.

In addition to the exhibition booth, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication also has a photo exhibition introducing the faculty's training and research activities.
In particular, the exhibition booth of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication was honored to receive the A prize for its impressive and unique exhibition booth. The main exhibition content of the Faculty is the achievements in journalism and communication research demonstrated through the richness and diversity of scientific publications; modern technical means serving journalism practice for students, reflecting the constant innovations of the Faculty in journalism training to keep up with the trends and needs of society. Two individuals, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Quang Hao and Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, were awarded the "Scientific research and journalism profession" award. This is also the first year this award has been presented at the National Press Festival as a recognition of the extremely important role of journalism and communication research activities contributing to the appearance of the country's journalism.

Within the framework of the Press Festival activities, in an interview with press agencies, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Head of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) shared: The National Press Festival is truly a festival of journalism and the students are future journalists. The transmission to future journalists is not only professional knowledge about journalism but more importantly, understanding the hot issues of society, the breath of the times, fostering professional ethics and professional courage. Through the "fires" of the previous generation of journalists, lecturers and journalism students will know the practical work, love and cherish their future profession more. At the same time, it increases the responsibility and awareness of previous journalists, not only doing their current tasks well but also having the responsibility to nurture the next generation of journalists to realize their professional ideals.
The National Press Festival is held annually and is a great festival for journalists nationwide, contributing to honoring the great achievements of the Vietnamese press, promoting press products associated with the labor and creative activities of journalists nationwide. Over the years, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication has actively participated in the Press Festival as a representative of journalism and communication research and training institutions nationwide; thereby introducing to the public the latest achievements in journalism and communication research and training.
