On April 21, 2009, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - signed a cooperation document with the University of Montana, USA. Representing the University of Montana at the signing ceremony was Prof. George M. Dennison - Rector.
Accordingly, the cooperation activities between the two sides will focus on academic exchange issues, joint participation in project programs, training programs of interest to both sides, exchange of students, lecturers, experts, exchange of documents and scientific information. The agreement is valid for 5 years.
This is the 10th US partner that USSH has established a cooperative relationship with. In the Vietnamese university system, USSH is the first partner of the University of Montana.
At the meeting, the two sides also mentioned many activities that the two schools could coordinate in the coming time such as: attending the workshop on "Population Aging and the Issue of the Elderly in Society" in September 2009 in the US, organizing Summer Programs, organizing workshops on contemporary Vietnamese issues, cooperating in building a master's program in American Studies, receiving students from the University of Montana to research and teach English at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities...
