According to the MoU, the two universities will work towards international cooperation to enhance the quality of training and research at each university. They will jointly promote understanding of sustainable development and social inclusion at the national and international levels; establish programs, courses and research projects to meet social needs at the local, regional and national levels. In the long term, the two universities will move towards establishing research groups in the fields of Social Work, proposing research projects, joint publications, co-organizing international seminars and conferences. They will coordinate in providing online/offline programs in Social Work and Criminology at the Master's and Doctoral levels.
Specific cooperation activities between the two sides are: establishing one or more programs and/or short-term courses at the Master's level in health, social work and criminalization; implementing student and lecturer exchanges in social work; receiving lecturers of the School to study short-term courses or PhD training programs in Social Work. From the starting point in the field of Social Work, the two sides will expand cooperation in other fields of social sciences, aiming at international educational solutions for ASEAN and Asian students.

Founded in 1977, the University of Gävle is a medium-sized university with global connections. It offers nearly 50 official degree programmes and 800 elective courses. The five subject areas taught here are mathematics, natural sciences and computer science, technology, social sciences and humanities, education and healthcare.
