Summer Volunteer Campaign 2018 Launch Ceremony

With the motto of promoting the volunteer spirit of students and the initiative of the Youth Union and the Association in implementing volunteer activities, the 2018 Youth Volunteer Summer is a peak competition for members and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of VNU (December 10, 1993 - December 10, 2018).

The 2018 volunteer campaign is an activity to train political qualities and professional skills for union members; thereby promoting their professional capacity, intelligence and enthusiasm, contributing to the cause of economic, cultural and social development in some localities.

This is also a good opportunity for the youth of Nhan Van to exchange experiences in the work of the Union and student movements with local youth, creating conditions for students to be exposed to real life, combine learning with practice, contributing to building the right motivation for learning.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the School) shared: “Most recently, during the volunteer campaign to support the National High School Exam, the volunteer model of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Hop Thanh left a lot of sympathy in the hearts of the people, was highly appreciated by the people of Hop Thanh, and partly promoted the image of the School to the community”.

Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: "Society always needs the contributions of young people, whether big or small, your contributions will always be appreciated."

Associate Professor, Dr. Hoan Anh Tuan also advised team leaders to pay special attention to the organization work to have a safe and effective 2018 volunteer season.

This year, the School's Youth Union - Student Association organizes 3 volunteer models:

One is the model of participating in supporting the 2018 National High School Exam, participating in the exam season support activities at the admission locations and at bus stations, ensuring traffic safety and order at the admission locations. The core force for this activity is the Student Volunteer Shock Team and volunteers are students in the school with about 30-40 volunteers.

The second is a local volunteer model with two main activities. Volunteer activities in Hien Luong commune (Da Bac, Hoa Binh) with the content of organizing tourism support classes for local people, implementing the program "Summer Cultural Light", building "Humanity Bookshelf"... Volunteer activities in Thai Binh with the content of organizing social activities, implementing the gratitude program, coordinating the organization of cultural and artistic activities, sports in the locality, building the youth project "Humanity Flagpole"...

Third is a professional volunteer model, introducing the history and culture of Thang Long - Hanoi at historical and cultural relics for domestic and foreign tourists at 3 locations: Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, National Museum of History.
