On March 25, 2022, the School's Veterans Association successfully organized the Congress for the 2022 - 2027 term.
Before the congress began, the cadres and members of the Veterans Association offered incense at the Memorial Monument for Students and Soldiers of Hanoi University of Science who joined the army to protect the Fatherland. During the resistance war against the US, more than 1,300 cadres and students of the University directly participated in the fight, including many heroic martyrs such as Nguyen Van Thac, Hoang Kim Giao, Le Anh Xuan, Chu Cam Phong, Nguyen Trong Dinh... This is a tragic but heroic historical period in the tradition of the Veterans Association as well as the University, which future generations of cadres and students will never forget.
The Congress delegation offered flowers at the Memorial of Students and Soldiers of Hanoi National University who joined the army to protect the Fatherland.
Attending the Congress of the School's Veterans Association were Major General Le Nhu Duc - Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi City Veterans Association; Ms. Tran Hong Dung - Permanent Vice President of the Forever 20 Fund; Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - School Principal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal along with the Association's members.
The Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always been an excellent unit of the Capital Veterans Association. Promoting the tradition and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, not only always united and creative in implementing the tasks of the Association and the Veterans movement, the members also have a steadfast will and strive to excel in completing the assigned professional tasks as scientists and teachers in the integration era. Many teachers are leading scientists, role models for generations of young cadres and students to learn from.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan spoke to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of the School's Veterans Association in the past term.
During the 2017-2022 term, the Association successfully implemented many key work programs: Studying, thoroughly grasping and implementing the thematic resolutions of the Party Committee of Hanoi National University, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Exemplary cadres and members strictly complying with the Party's directives and resolutions, policies and laws of the State; resolutely fighting against signs of degradation in ideology, politics, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation"; participating in the campaigns: "Studying and following the ideology, ethics and lifestyle of Ho Chi Minh", "Each teacher, educational manager is an example of ethics, self-study and creativity"; coordinating with the School's Military Command to advise the School's leaders to effectively implement the military rear policy, acting as the core in movements to protect political security and safety and order in the School; Effectively coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in propagating and educating revolutionary traditions to the young generation through the programs From the battlefield to the lecture hall, Soldiers - Lecturers, Sacred Vietnam, Pride of Vietnam... In 2021, together with the Veterans Association of the University of Natural Sciences, the Student-Soldier Association 6971 contributed and mobilized contributions to build a Memorial Monument for the event of cadres and students of Hanoi National University joining the army to protect the Fatherland. From 2020 to present, the Association has contributed to the Covid 19 prevention fund of Hanoi city and the southern provinces... to join hands with society to repel the pandemic.
The Congress of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2022-2027 term elected the new Executive Committee of the Association and elected delegates to attend the Congress of the Veterans Association of Hanoi City. The new Executive Committee for the 2022-2027 term consists of 03 comrades: Comrade Pham Cong Nhat - Chairman of the Association; Comrade Nguyen Vu Hao - Vice Chairman of the Association, Head of the Inspection Committee; Comrade Pham Van Luyen - Member of the Executive Committee.
Congratulating the success of this Congress, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan said: More than ever, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes that teachers will continue to be the spiritual and professional support for the generation of students and young staff, and continue to make worthy contributions to the development of the University in the new development period. With the new Executive Committee, with the spirit of solidarity and creativity, the University hopes that the Association will promote more brilliantly the tradition of General veterans - Humanities veterans.
