University teaching methods in the current period - from the perspective of learners

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh delivered the opening speech of the seminar.

The program aims to introduce young lecturers to some teaching methods, as well as factors affecting teaching methods at the university level in the current period. At the same time, it connects and creates a forum for academic exchange between young lecturers throughout the school about practical experiences in using university teaching methods. The focus is on the level of adaptability of the method to the psychology and life values ​​of modern learners.

Attending the seminar were Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU; Prof. Dang Canh Khanh, Director of the Institute for Communication and Development Studies; Dr. Ton Quang Cuong, Head of the Faculty of Pedagogy, University of Education, VNU and all young lecturers from faculties and departments in the university.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vice Principal of the School, emphasized that this is a very important activity, because the topic of the seminar is closely linked to the daily activities of all the staff and lecturers of the School.

Lecturers and scientists in the seminar need to have flexible and adaptable approaches, attaching the term "learner-centered" to the context and conditions of Vietnam, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh emphasized.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is in the process of innovation, in which innovation in teaching methods is certainly one of the important measures to improve the training quality of the University, helping the University soon reach the orientation of a research university.

The discussion revolved around two main topics: topic 1 - the life values ​​of contemporary learners and its impacts on choosing effective teaching methods at university level; topic 2 - Some effective teaching methods at university level.
