Strengthening cooperation with Shanghai University

On August 20, 2012, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang - Vice Director of the Center for Chinese Studies received and worked with the delegation of Shanghai University led by Prof. Dieu Hi Minh - Dean of the International Exchange Institute (Shanghai University - China) as head of the delegation visiting the University.
On August 20, 2012, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the University, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Dr. Nghiem Thuy Hang - Vice Director of the Center for Chinese Studies received and worked with the delegation of Shanghai University led by Prof. Dieu Hi Minh - Dean of the International Exchange Institute (Shanghai University - China) as head of the delegation visiting the University.Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh said: Up to now, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has trained and fostered over 5,000 foreign students, of which 7 have become ambassadors in Vietnam. The Rector emphasized that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is very interested in and values ​​the cooperative relationship with Shanghai University, hoping that in the future the two schools will be able to sign an international cooperation agreement on training in Journalism and Communication. At the same time, the Rector also hopes that in the coming time, the cooperative relationship between the two schools will have new developments such as: strengthening cooperation in exchanging lecturers and students; jointly conducting scientific research. Prof. Dieu Hi Minh agreed with the cooperation proposals between the two schools and wished to further expand the cooperative relationship. He affirmed that the opportunities for cooperation in training in majors, especially Journalism and Communication, between the two schools are very large. Shanghai University's Academy of Film Arts trains in the fields of film, journalism and communication, which are key majors in Shanghai, with a high employment rate for graduates. Shanghai University has a history of more than 90 years of establishment and development with majors in natural sciences, social sciences, history, law, economics, etc. In the rankings of universities in China, Shanghai University ranks 40th. Professor Yao Xi Ming hopes that in the coming time, the two schools will further promote cooperation and exchange activities to develop cultural education.
