Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University is one of the leading addresses for training in Chinese studies in Vietnam. The Faculty has a Chinese Studies Center to serve research and training activities on China. The Center is one of the first centers for Chinese studies research in Vietnam, specializing in research, training and application of issues related to China, especially issues of history, philosophy, language, culture, society, economics, politics, diplomacy of China; experiences in state building, cultural preservation and development, management and transformation of socio-economic structure; experiences in modernization, sustainable development and integration of China since the reform and opening up. Students graduating from the Chinese Studies major at the University all have good foreign language skills and find more suitable jobs. However, the cooperative relationship between the Faculty and the Chinese Embassy can still develop to new heights. Therefore, the Vice President hopes to cooperate more with the Chinese Embassy to continue promoting bilateral relations between the two sides.

In response, Mr. Liu Xinzhen said that the Chinese Embassy attaches great importance to the relationship with the School and the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The Embassy is committed to providing financial support and finding other sources of funding to support the activities of the Faculty, especially through providing necessary scholarships for students of the Faculty to study in China. He also hopes to welcome more Vietnamese students to study in China to improve Vietnamese people's understanding of China and contribute to the bilateral relationship between the two countries. On the occasion of this visit to the School, Mr. Liu Xinzhen also introduced the Chinese education system and scholarship opportunities in China for students of the Chinese Studies Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies.
