University of Social Sciences and Humanities trains Korean for Samsung employees

On March 16, 2015, the opening ceremony of the Korean language class for staff of Samsung Electronics Company (Korea) took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the opening ceremony were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Principal of the University), Mr. Cho Ho Seok (Deputy General Director of Administration - Human Resources of Samsung Company).

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim affirmed: this activity is a symbol of cooperation between a leading university in Vietnam and a leading electronics company in Korea. Samsung Group's leaders have had a long-term vision when they paid great attention to investing in improving the Korean language proficiency of Vietnamese employees in the company. Because language is an important tool to raise cultural awareness, create understanding and empathy.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Principal of the School) highly appreciated the cooperation activities between the School and Samsung Company.

This activity is even more meaningful in the context of the increasingly comprehensive and strong development of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Korea. Korea has become a symbol of development in the region and Asia today. Korean companies are increasingly present in the Vietnamese market.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim also believes that the school's team of professional and highly qualified teachers, the investment of Samsung Company and the enthusiasm of the students will be important factors contributing to the success of the course.

Mr. Cho Ho Seok expressed his impression of the level of the teaching staff, the Korean language ability of the students of the Korean Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies as well as the friendly and close atmosphere of the opening ceremony. He said that he was completely confident about this course and advised the students to make efforts and take advantage of the opportunity to gain knowledge from the teachers of the School.

The course will last for 12 weeks, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, writing Korean skills and knowledge of Korean culture and history.
