“We want Quan Ho, as well as Hue Royal Court Music, Ca Tru… to always live forever as a “certificate” of Vietnamese culture in the overall world culture”. That is what Researcher Nguyen Hung Vy, Lecturer of Folklore, Faculty of Literature shared about the purpose of organizing the exchange program between Bac Ninh Quan Ho artists and students who love Quan Ho in the School.

The difference of the program is in the interaction with the audience. When Meritorious Artist Xuan Bui - a famous Lien Anh in the Quan Ho world - discusses with the students about a certain content, the artists will sing about that content. Immersed in the smooth melodies of "My Quan Ho Village", the participants also heard the sharing about the history of the land and people of Kinh Bac.

When the sisters sang “Inviting Betel” with a gentle voice, the betel leaves folded in the shape of phoenix wings and cinnamon wings were handed out to the audience one by one. Everyone admired their beauty and fragrance. Next was the exchange singing session with the structure of an argumentative essay, starting with the traditional singing “La rang”, in the middle were the voices of the child artists singing the tunes “Ly cay da”, “Long lanh oi” and ending with the famous “Gia ban” in the quan ho folk song world.
Child artist with smooth, soft voice captivates audience
Not only introducing Quan Ho melodies, Meritorious Artist Xuan Bui also talked about the beauty of the traditional costumes of Quan Ho village. From the three-tall shirt, crow’s-beak scarf, red yem, luc-phan, and silk scarf to the quai thao hat, how to tie the belt… useful cultural knowledge was brought to the audience in a realistic and familiar way so that students could have a deeper insight into this unique folk art form.
Another special highlight of the program is the interest and enthusiastic reception of the audience, including students and alumni or those who love this type of folk culture. The roses, the applause, the excitement on the faces of the audience throughout the program showed the meaning of this cultural activity.
The audience who love Quan Ho folk songs came to attend and attentively followed the program.
Không chỉ dừng lại ở việc đem không gian âm nhạc của dân ca quan họ Bắc Ninh tới với sinh viên, tại buổi giao lưu, Thầy Trần Đức Hòa, Phó chủ tịch Hội sinh viên Trường còn kêu gọi sự ủng hộ từ các thầy cô và các bạn sinh viên ủng hộ “Quỹ bảo tồn nghệ thuật dân gian”. Thầy Nguyễn Hùng Vỹ cũng đã giới thiệu tới đông đảo các bạn sinh viên quan tâm đến nghệ thuật truyền thống lớp học đào tạo truyền nghề miễn phí về viết kịch bản và kĩ năng xây dựng một tác phẩm nghệ thuật dân gian. Điều đó cho thấy tâm huyết của những người làm chương trình với các loại hình văn hóa dân gian Việt Nam.
