The conference was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with leaders of the Training Department, functional departments/centers and faculties/institutes of the school.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, directed the Conference to summarize the adjustment of undergraduate training programs.
In the summary report at the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the School Council, Head of Training Department said that in the past 17 years, the school has adjusted the training program 6 times to innovate training activities, meet the needs of learners, society and the development trend of interdisciplinary training programs in the world.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam, the new point in adjusting the training program in 2023 is to reduce the number of credits to approach the standard threshold of the Ministry of Education and Training, helping students plan to complete the study program in 4 years. In addition, to meet the goal of adjusting some subjects in an interdisciplinary direction, the Faculties/Institutes in the whole school need to have a plan to share human resources and some subjects in the training program between units.
During the adjustment process, the school was authorized by VNU to issue the training program, the progress of the adjustment was quick and timely compared to the actual needs. Along with the strong direction of the school's Board of Directors in adjusting the training program, there was also smooth and effective coordination between departments/centers and faculties/institutes. Therefore, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the first unit in VNU to complete the adjustment of the training program.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam emphasized that “Academic, Modern and Interdisciplinary” are the keywords in the development strategy that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, will steadfastly implement in the coming time. Therefore, adjusting the training program is a regular task and training units need to be always ready.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication highly appreciated the timely adjustment of the training program of the school to meet the requirements of learners and society. Adjusting the training program has become a regular task of the Institute such as adding common subjects in the majors and groups of majors to improve the connectivity between training programs, increasing credits for internships and practice to equip students with practical knowledge and soft skills, meeting the requirements of majors such as Journalism and Public Relations.

Dr. Pham Hoang Giang - Head of Philosophy Department shares his experience in building a Management Philosophy training program that both ensures the nature of a basic science subject and ensures modernity and interdisciplinary nature.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu - Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology builds a training program throughout all levels of study from Bachelor - Master - Doctorate and trains a second university degree.
According to Dr. Pham Huy Cuong - Director of the Center for Education Quality Assurance, adjusting 100% of the training program is a great effort of the school to ensure the requirements on training program quality assurance according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education & Training and VNU.
Concluding the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong directed the Training Department to take the initiative in developing a plan to adjust and build the undergraduate training program for the period 2022-2027 according to the adjustment roadmap between the middle period (2015-2016) and the end of the period (2028-2029).
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized that faculties/institutes need to proactively develop new training programs, continue to review training programs that are being organized in a way that ensures both the specialization of the industry and modernity and interdisciplinary nature. In the period of 2024-2028, the school strives to issue at least 04 new training programs. There should be policies to advise and support learners from the time they are potential learners until they study at the school, groups of students with low academic scores or slow learning progress, and students studying a second training program.
The consensus, joint efforts, concentration of intelligence and enthusiasm of all units in the whole school in innovating the training program will contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning, bringing prestigious training products, and enhancing the brand value of the school.
