At the seminar, delegates listened to Dr. Dao Minh Quan - Deputy Director of the School's Information Technology Training and Application Center share basic content on skills in building teaching scenarios, lecture applications on LMS and experiences in the process of designing multimedia lectures. The seminar took place enthusiastically with the interaction of union members who are lecturers (GV) from various units. The content of the seminar focused on sharing key solutions on building multimedia lecture outlines and classroom management experiences in online teaching.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - President of the School Union emphasized: The application of information technology in teaching is currently an inevitable trend of the education sector, especially in the context of the increasingly complicated Covid-19 epidemic. Because whether we want it or not, we still have to carry out normal teaching and learning activities. Students cannot stop learning, teachers cannot stop teaching. And in order to have effective and engaging lectures, it is imperative that each teacher actively innovates to perform their duties well, in which the skill of building multimedia lectures to suit online teaching and learning is a basic and necessary skill for each teacher.

At the seminar, teachers also shared the advantages and challenges in applying IT in teaching. Accordingly, the advantages are: Information will be combined with multimedia (images, sounds, videos, charts...) so that information reception is extremely rich, diverse with high efficiency; Developing thinking and imagination ability, enhancing awareness to help students easily grasp processes and phenomena naturally; Students can easily access a large source of knowledge in all different fields through the internet; creating excitement in learning.

.
However, lecturers also face many challenges such as: Not all lectures are suitable for computer design, some specific lectures when taught using traditional methods will be easier for both students and teachers to absorb; implementing lecture design using this method causes many teachers to encounter difficulties when initially approaching; overusing information technology at the wrong time and place will not ensure teaching quality; the work of evaluating teaching effectiveness still needs to be further standardized...
How to limit the above challenges is the goal of the discussion. In addition, this is also a forum for teachers to share their experiences to apply IT more effectively in lectures, contributing to improving teaching quality. After this discussion, there will be a series of direct training sessions for teachers implemented by the School in the near future.
