VNU-USSH students have many opportunities to receive scholarships from the Indian Government

This is the content of the discussion at the talk show "Strengthening people-to-people friendship exchanges - Connecting education and training between Vietnam and India" co-organized by the Department of Indology, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, together with the Hanoi Vietnam - India Friendship Association (HAVIFA) on April 10, 2024.
The talk was attended by Mr. SPGupta - Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of India in Vietnam; Dr. Monica Sharma - Director of Swami Vivekananda Indian Cultural Center, Embassy of India in Vietnam; Mr. Ton Sinh Thanh - Former Ambassador of Vietnam to India, Dr. Le Thi Hang Nga - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of India and Asian Studies Journal, Ms. Phan Lan Tu - President of HAVIFA.
On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, there were Dr. Nguyen Tran Tien - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Dr. Phung Thi Thao - Head of the Department of Indian Studies, along with lecturers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
 
 
The talk was attended by representatives of the Indian Embassy, ​​the Vietnam - India Friendship Association, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
The talk is a forum for discussing issues of interest in the education sector of Vietnam and India, and is also a place for guests and lecturers to share valuable experiences about their studies and experiences in the beautiful, mysterious and fascinating country of India.
Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, Hanoi had the opportunity to listen and exchange with guests about their experiences studying and living in India.
People-to-people exchanges between countries not only help broaden horizons and open doors for business and investment opportunities, but also create a space for cultural exchange. In the field of education, the exchange of knowledge, experience and teaching methods between the two countries will help both sides improve the quality of education, training and scientific research. Through scholarship programs and training programs of the Indian Government, VNU-USSH students, trainees and lecturers have many opportunities to enjoy exchange policies for undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, etc., contributing to promoting cooperation between universities, research institutes and educational institutions of both countries.
The close relationship between Vietnam and India has a long history, along trade routes, the influence of Indian culture is one of the important and prominent elements in the traditional picture of the Vietnamese people in particular, and Southeast Asian countries in general. Over time, the bilateral relationship was upgraded to "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" in 2016, creating many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economics, politics, defense - security, ... One of the areas that the two countries strive to promote is people-to-people exchange and cooperation in the field of education; connecting and strengthening friendship between the people of the two countries. Education is considered one of the key factors in the diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam. The Indian education system is always among the top prestigious systems in the world with famous universities and colleges. Up to now, India has granted Vietnamese students and scholars many types of scholarships under different programs.
 
Several Indian art performances at the talk brought guests love for the culture of the country of a billion people.
