Receiving Oesol Foundation and SJ TECH Vietnam Company, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, there was the participation of Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Committee Secretary, Rector and leaders of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Politics and Student Affairs, Department of Cooperation and Development.
On the partner side, there were Mr. Choi Myung Sik - Chairman of Oesol Foundation, Mr. Park Sang Joo - General Director of SJ TECH Vietnam Company.

Expressing his honor to receive the warm welcome from the school's leaders, Mr. Choi Myung Sik said that the Oesol Foundation and SJ TECH Vietnam Company have had effective cooperation activities with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in recent years. The Foundation has awarded many scholarships to students majoring in Korean Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies in the past two years to help them have more conditions to study and pursue their passion for researching Korean culture and language. At the meeting, the Chairman of the Oesol Foundation wished to continue signing with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to bring more scholarships to VNU-USSH students. Accordingly, in 2024 - 2025, the Foundation will award 72 scholarships to students majoring in Korean Studies with excellent academic achievements, students overcoming difficulties, and students with outstanding Union - Association activities with a total amount of 24 million won (equivalent to nearly 430 million VND).
Sharing his emotions when Oesol Foundation and SJ TECH Vietnam Company devoted special feelings to the development of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan said that the cooperative relationship between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with Oesol Foundation, SJ TECH Vietnam Company and many Korean organizations and enterprises has contributed to strengthening the good relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and Korea.
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is proud to be the first university in Vietnam to not only train but also research the Korean language. Each year, the Korean Studies Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, trains 60 students; the university's lecturers study and research at many major universities in Korea and continue to convey to students their passion for learning and researching the language, culture, and history of the "Land of Kimchi". Scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU have participated in many research activities on Korea, publishing research publications on the culture and history of the neighboring country.
Previously, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU was a partner unit that received many scholarship funds from Korean organizations and enterprises, such as: KF - Samsung Fund, Lotte Scholarship,... and welcomed many high-ranking Korean leaders to visit.
