At the briefing, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, UNDP, the Delegation Affairs Committee and research partners will share the results of a thematic study on the role of female National Assembly deputies, an important content in the research activities being conducted since September 2020. This research is co-funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam and UNDP.
The objectives of the study are:
• Further clarify the roles and social impacts of female elected representatives in general and female National Assembly representatives in particular;
• Suggest some policy implications to contribute to further promoting women's capacity in leadership and management in Vietnam.
By using empirical research methods using quantitative and qualitative analysis, it is hoped that the study will contribute to promoting gender equality in the political field and the role of women in the political, economic and social fields.
