1. Admission method
1.1.Master's training enrollment
1.1.1. Traditional entrance examApplicable to candidates in the right major/suitable major/related major/other major in master's training programs.
- Master's entrance exams include Basic subjects, Foundation subjects and Foreign Language subjects.
- Basic and fundamental exams see the list of exams according to the following majors:

See here- Foreign language: test in one of five languages: English, Russian, French, Chinese, German. For Asian studies major, candidates can register to take the test in Japanese and Korean.

Candidates whose foreign language proficiency meets the foreign language exam requirements of the training unit and fall into one of the following cases are exempted from the foreign language exam:
- Have a university, master's or doctoral degree from a full-time training program abroad, and have the degree recognized by a competent authority according to current regulations;
- Have a university degree in an advanced program according to the Project of the Ministry of Education and Training on advanced training programs at some universities in Vietnam or a high-quality engineering degree (PFIEV) recognized by the engineering degree committee (CTI, France), with a foreign partner to jointly grant the degree or a university degree in an international standard training program, a talent training program, a high-quality training program of VNU;
- Have a university degree in foreign languages.
- Have a foreign language proficiency certificate equivalent to the levels of the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam: level 3 for VNU-Hanoi standard master's degree training programs, level 4 for international joint master's degree programs awarded by VNU, level 5 for international standard master's degree training programs. The certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of the foreign language certificate exam to the date of registration for the master's degree exam and is issued by an institution recognized by VNU.

1.1.2. Direct admission to master's degree
- Those who have graduated from a regular university with a good degree or higher within 12 months (as of the time of application) in training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, including: high quality (invested by the state), training programs that have been accredited by prestigious international accreditation organizations (AUN-QA, ABET...) or Vietnamese accreditation organizations recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training (for courses that are still enrolled within the deadline).
- Those who graduated from a regular university with a major of Good or higher within 12 months (from the time of application) in the standard training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Candidates for direct admission to a master's degree must meet the foreign language proficiency requirements specified in section 1.1.1. For candidates who do not have proof of foreign language proficiency as required above, they must take the Foreign Language exam during the same period of the VNU University Entrance Exam.

4. Training time- Master: Standard training time is 2 years;
- Doctorate: Standard training time for people with a master's degree is 3 years, for people with a bachelor's degree with honors or higher is 04 years.
5. Exam fees
5.1. For Master's training admission: 420,000 VND/candidate(Candidates exempted from the Foreign Language exam must submit300,000 candidates)
