[Announcement No. 14] VNU students return to in-person learning from March 15

With the current good basic epidemic control situation, VNU will closely follow the general situation of Hanoi and may allow undergraduate and postgraduate students to return to in-person learning from March 15, 2021.
Recently, with the drastic and effective participation of the entire political system and society, the Covid-19 epidemic situation in Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular has been basically controlled. Based on the instructions of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi City, on the basis of the practical situation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) requests that units continue to implement the following contents:

1. Prepare and ensure full conditions for Covid-19 prevention and control according to regulations, notify students and postgraduates (collectively referred to as students) to return to in-person learning from Monday, March 15, 2021.

2. Continue to vigorously implement the instructions of superiors and the "5K" instructions of the Ministry of Health on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. Timely review and count the number of students traveling to and from localities with epidemics (especially in some areas currently implementing blockade, isolation, social distancing...) toencourage, guide, requestStudents must declare their health, be tested, and quarantined (if any) in accordance with the regulations of the Health Sector, and at the same time have appropriate measures to support students in studying effectively, with quality, and ensuring general safety. For issues related to epidemic prevention and control, units are requested to proactively contact VNU Hospital (through Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Hoang Ha - Director, Phone: 0913 269488 or Dr. Nguyen Quang Tam, Phone: 0973 778686) for guidance and support.

3. Continue to suspend activities, events with large crowds, sightseeing, picnics... if not really necessary. Important events, conferences, and seminars when organized must ensure conditions for Covid-19 prevention and control according to regulations: measuring body temperature, wearing masks, keeping distance, having disinfectant solution... Encourage the implementation of online working methods appropriately and effectively.

4. Request all officials, civil servants, lecturers, scientists, students:Strictly implement the national health declarationin accordance with regulations. Individuals are responsible before the law if they are not proactive or make dishonest medical declarations. Cases that have traveled to or returned from epidemic areas (according to updates at the addresshttps://ncov.moh.gov.vn/) need to notify the unit's disease prevention and control standing department, local health agencies, coordinate with VNU Hospital and related departments to immediately deploy measures to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic according to regulations.

5. Other contents continue to be implemented according to Official Dispatch No. 506/VNU-CT&CTHSSV dated February 26, 2021 of VNU.

Heads of units are requested to pay attention and direct the implementation of the above contents.

VNU will closely monitor the development of the epidemic situation to have timely and appropriate instructions./.
