The closing ceremony and certificate awarding ceremony of the 6th course of screenwriting and film criticism theory under the Cinema Project, University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place on October 28.
The closing ceremony and certificate awarding ceremony of the 6th course of screenwriting and film criticism theory under the Cinema Project, University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place on October 28.The 6th course of the Screenwriting and Film Criticism Training Project officially opened in November 2009 with 40 students selected from many universities and training institutions across the country. After 1 year of study, 26 students completed their graduation thesis and received certificates from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Kim Son - Vice Principal of the University - praised and acknowledged the achievements of the Film Project in the training courses. The Vice Principal thanked the Ford Foundation for sponsoring the Film Project in the past 6 courses and affirmed that in the coming time, the University will continue to pay attention and create conditions for the Screenwriting - Film Criticism and Theory training program to continue to develop. According to Professor Tran Hinh - Head of the Film Project - the Film Project sponsored by the Ford Foundation started in 2005 and has been conducting a free ten-month course every year to develop talents in screenwriting, film and television criticism in Vietnam. Course 6 is the last course of the Film Project sponsored by the Ford Foundation, this is also the course with the largest number of graduates, producing the largest number of news briefs: 21 film news briefs. Course 6 is also the course fully equipped with specialized learning materials, modern machinery and equipment for study and research. Many episodes written by project students have been broadcast on television and participated in film festivals.
