Tuesday - May 19, 2015 06:48
Forty years have passed, but the images of the great victory on April 30, 1975 are still fresh in the hearts of every Vietnamese person - the country was completely unified, North and South reunited. However, alongside that glory, there were still painful losses: some people fell, some became war invalids, and the next generation also suffered the heavy consequences left by the war....
"Childhood Swallows - Connecting Dreams"

Understanding that, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the South - reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2015), the Youth Union - Association of the Faculty of Archives & Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) organized a very meaningful volunteer program called: "Childhood Swallows - Connecting Dreams” at the Vietnam Friendship Youth Village - Xuan Phuong - Tu Liem - Hanoi on Sunday morning, May 17, 2015. The volunteer program is an opportunity for teachers and students of the Department of Archives & Office Management to show gratitude and remember the generations of fathers and brothers who fell and sacrificed a part of their flesh and blood to protect national independence; at the same time, express their feelings of attachment and sharing with the community, visit and encourage children who are victims of Agent Orange.

Teachers and students of the whole faculty. Although it only took place in one morning, with the enthusiasm of the volunteers, the Program was a great success and left an impression not only on the staff, veterans and children at the children's village but also a profound lesson, a wonderful experience for each volunteer.

From 7am, the green volunteer shirts filled the Vietnam Friendship Children's Village. The volunteers were very happy because upon arriving, they received sincere feelings from the children here. It seemed that these simple feelings gave the volunteers more strength to do well the assigned work.
