University of Social Sciences and Humanities won the A prize at the Festival of groups promoting revolutionary songs.

With three carefully prepared and richly visual performances, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities surpassed 9 other units to win the highest award at the Festival of Propaganda Groups for Revolutionary Songs to Welcome the 2015 Party Congresses at All Levels, organized by the Trade Union in coordination with the Youth Union of VNU, last night (May 22) at the Me Tri Dormitory Cultural House.

University of Social Sciences and Humanities won the A prize at the Festival of groups promoting revolutionary songs.

Three performances by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, including “The Flame of 20 Years Old”, “Ho Chi Minh Song” and “The Fatherland Calls My Name”, were all performed powerfully, in line with the spirit of the program, which is to praise the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The song “The Flame of 20” by musician Thanh Binh with lyrics and accompanying dance recreated the image of the heroine Dang Thuy Tram, bringing the feeling that there is a youthful flame for independence, freedom and building a strong country that has been burning continuously in Dang Thuy Tram and every generation of young Vietnamese. The song “Ho Chi Minh Song” by musician Ewan MacColl was performed by the male cadres with a heroic and strong voice, affirming the will and contributions of Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Vietnamese people. Meanwhile, the final performance was the song “The Fatherland Calls My Name” which went from gentle to intense and strong, affirming the determination to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands, and a strong patriotism.

Not only did they achieve the highest results, the two performances “The Flame of 20” and “Ho Chi Minh Song” were also two of the 12 performances at the festival night selected to perform in the art performance night to welcome the 5th Congress of the Party Committee of the National University of Hanoi, term 2015 – 2020 at VNU on May 26.

The program was attended by many distinguished guests from the Central Youth Union, Hanoi Youth Union, VNU and its member units. In addition to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Revolutionary Song Propaganda Groups Festival also had the participation of 9 other units under VNU and all received encouragement awards. In the end, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities won the A prize; 2 B prizes went to the University of Foreign Languages ​​and the International Faculty, 2 C prizes went to the University of Natural Sciences and the Center for Physical Education and Sports; the University of Education, the University of Economics, the University of Technology, the Faculty of Law and the Library Information Center won encouragement awards.
