At the beginning, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi delivered an opening speech at the Conference and then, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, delivered a welcoming speech to all delegates from the two schools who attended this conference as well as acknowledged their contributions and congratulated the cooperation and connection between the two schools in recent years.
Going deeper into the content of the conference, leaders and delegates of the two schools presented reports, discussions and research on the issues of cooperation and university governance in the integration period. In particular, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi presented the "Summary report on cooperation activities between the two schools in 2018-2019" clearly demonstrating the viewpoint of sustainable cooperation, sharing experiences and cultivating and developing together.
Continuing the program, Dr. Tran Anh Tien - Head of the Department of Science Management and Project Development, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his views on the issue of "Serving the community through local cooperation programs" - an activity that learns from the models of advanced countries in the world to connect local communities with scientific and service activities. This activity not only brings benefits to the community, but also creates practical opportunities for scientists as well as sustainable development orientation for service industries.
After the break, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Head of Training Department, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented the "Report on innovation in teaching activities of the school" and pointed out the trends of world integration in teaching and training. Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thanh Nam affirmed that the need for lecturers to innovate themselves, improve their skills and diversify their methods will improve the effectiveness of teaching quality in the school.
MSc. Tran Nam - Head of Communications & Business Relations Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City also shared more about the content of "Connecting Universities and Businesses: Sustainable Development Strategy of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City". MSc. Tran Nam presented the importance of connecting schools and businesses, the practical benefits that schools and businesses bring to students during the training process, and at the same time proved that the connection between businesses and schools is an integration trend, bringing students to a more practical and optimal training form.
The report on “International publication experience” by Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Van Luan - Head of the Department of Scientific Research Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi concluded the presentation of the Conference with practical sharing as well as notes on the issue of international publication. Moreover, he affirmed the importance of international publication for the position and development orientation of the school in the process of international integration.
The discussion between the two schools was moderated by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Chairman of the Science and Training Council, Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Prof. Dr. Vo Van Sen - Former Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities. It was lively with questions and enthusiastic sharing from representatives of the two schools about cooperation content, management and teaching experience as well as international integration orientation in the coming time.
And to affirm the sustainable cooperation between the two schools, the signing ceremony of the cooperation document between the Science and Tourism Services Company Limited (TASS) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi (represented by Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy) and the Van Khoa Science and Tourism Services Company Limited (VASST) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City (represented by Dr. Tran Anh Tien) took place solemnly with the presence of leaders and representatives of the two schools. This event marked an important milestone for the process of cooperation, connection and promoting sustainable development between the two schools in the future.
The Conference and Scientific Discussion Program between the two schools was completed with a journey to explore Ha Long Bay and Van Don island district under the organization and service of Tourism and Science Services Company Limited (TASS) as a first step to experience and recognize the cooperation between the two sides.
