End of free English communication course for students

On May 11, 2018, the last class of the 6-class free English course for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities ended. The course was organized by the Student Advisory and Support Group - CASA.

In the last lesson of the class, there was the participation ofAssoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan(Vice Principal of the School) andDr. Pham Huy Cuong(Deputy Head of Political and Student Affairs Department).

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the two international volunteers Katrine and Rebekka. He said that this English class was a good opportunity for the school's students to improve their English skills. He hoped that after this course, the students would gain more knowledge and skills in foreign languages, and at the same time, he hoped that they would have a plan to use and practice English every day. He also said goodbye to the two volunteers and wished them much success in their next journey.

Dr. Pham Huy Cuong said that in the near future, the school will organize more foreign language classes for students. He also noted that students who make progress after foreign language courses can become volunteers for upcoming CASA activities.

With the aim of supporting students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to improve their foreign language skills, the CASA Advisory and Support Team in collaboration with the Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) organized a free English Communication Course. The course opened on March 27, 2018 with the support of two volunteers from the International Volunteer Program coordinated by CSDS: Katrine Friis Andersen and Rebekka Boe Hove from Denmark. The course attracted 120 students to participate in 6 classes and lasted for 7 weeks from March 27 to May 11, 2018.

The above course is the first step in the cooperation activities between the University and the Center for Sustainable Development Studies Vietnam (CSDS VN). At the same time, the course also equips the students of the University not only with English knowledge but also with essential soft skills in life.
