Meet the 2017 Alumni

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, formerly known as the University of Letters, was established by President Ho Chi Minh's Decree (October 10, 1945). After the period of Hanoi General University (since 1956), it has now had more than 70 years of construction and development. During those years, the University has achieved many important achievements and become a leading research and training center in social sciences and humanities of the country, contributing greatly to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The fine traditions of the University are also nurtured by generations of alumni who have made contributions to the political, economic, cultural, social fields of the country. Successful alumni are not only a source of pride but also a testament to the prestige and reputation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to the community and society.

Career exchange between successful alumni and students

In recent years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has paid special attention to alumni work. Based on the activities of the alumni association of the courses, on April 25, 2015, the first Alumni Conference was held. The conference unanimously elected the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, consisting of 19 members who are outstanding alumni representing 16 alumni associations of the faculties. After more than a year of operation, the Alumni Association of the University has initially played a role in gathering and contributing to the activities of the University, especially on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment and 70th anniversary of the tradition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Besides school-level activities, alumni activities are mainly concentrated in the faculties, actively contributing to the activities of the units.
