After more than a month of implementation, the Youth Union - Student Association of the Faculty of Linguistics under the Youth Union - Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully organized the campaign "Green Summer 2024 - Wind of the Northern Flowers", bringing students at Cao Bo Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Cao Bo commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province a very "green" summer.
From June 23 to July 28, 2024, the campaign carried out many meaningful activities, from fundraising, recruiting volunteers to building libraries, painting murals and giving gifts. Students of the Faculty of Linguistics have made constant efforts to bring a truly memorable summer to the students here.
Below are the outstanding activities of “Northern Wind” during the journey in Ha Giang:
- Phase 1: From June 23 to July 25, 2024: Raise charity funds, recruit collaborators and assign specific implementation tasks.
- Phase 2: From July 26 to July 28, 2024: The campaign will be implemented at Cao Bo Primary and Secondary Boarding School, completing the following donation items:
+ Awarded 1 youth project "Humanities Bookcase" worth 50,000,000 VND;
+ Awarded 1 youth wall painting project named "Helping you go to school" worth 2,500,000 VND;
+ Awarded 10 gifts to students with especially difficult circumstances and who have made great efforts in studying, worth 5,000,000 VND;
+ Donate medical equipment including masks, hand sanitizer and thermometers to the school;
+ Donated 6 public trash bins worth 5,700,000 VND;
+ Donated 606 gifts of school supplies.
- Phase 3: From July 29 - July 31, 2024: Summarize the campaign and send thanks to the Sponsors.
In addition to the main activities such as presenting Youth Projects and gifts to students and the Cao Bo Primary and Secondary Boarding School, the campaign's volunteer team also had the opportunity to visit the National Martyrs Cemetery of Vi Xuyen district to pay tribute to the contributions of the previous generation who died to preserve peace today.
In addition, volunteers also carried out propaganda activities to the people of Cao Bo commune about recycling and waste treatment, clearing and cleaning the surrounding living area, thereby bringing a greener - cleaner - more beautiful space to this place; organizing summer activities, playing games, making milk tea for students...
Continuing the spirit of “mutual love”, the campaign “Wind of the Northern Flowers” has created a beautiful picture of love and sharing. Hopefully in the following campaigns, the Youth Union - Association of the Faculty of Linguistics will continue to join hands to contribute to the school’s volunteer movement to organize more meaningful campaigns; contributing a part of the effort to help children in difficult circumstances across the country.
