In contrast to high school, university lectures mainly stimulate curiosity and discovery of new knowledge from lecturers. Xuan Viet realized that there is no concept of “learning what you learn and then taking the test”, but rather a journey of self-discovery and research. The male student has understood the two core tasks of students: studying and scientific research.
Since his first year, Xuan Viet has been involved in scientific research, thanks to the support of his advisor and fellow students. After two years of hard work, he has completed two research papers. Although he has not achieved the expected results, this process has helped Xuan Viet accumulate valuable knowledge about his major and social issues that he had never known before. The male student has determined to continue pursuing research in the coming school year to train his scientific thinking.
Xuan Viet's major is highly academic and research-oriented, requiring students to be proactive in exploring and learning. The student said that, for example, in the field of Intellectual Property Management, if one does not explore interdisciplinary knowledge of law and practice, it will be difficult to achieve good results. This initiative will be the key to helping Xuan Viet go further in his promising learning journey.
With his efforts to develop himself, Xuan Viet achieved a GPA of 3.74/4.0 and consecutively received the Academic Encouragement Scholarship in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 semesters, along with excellent training scores. He also conducted two outstanding scientific research reports: "Building information capacity to serve scientific research for first-year students" and "The program 'Waves and computers for children' in supporting the implementation of the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2025".
Xuan Viet has actively participated in many extracurricular activities inside and outside school, which not only helped him become more confident and flexible but also expanded his social relationships. Previously, Xuan Viet was self-conscious about his appearance, voice and knowledge. However, he decided to overcome these barriers and boldly participated in many events with different roles such as Head of the Organizing Committee, Deputy of the Organizing Committee and especially MC for large and small programs.
Xuan Viet is not only outstanding in his studies but also makes his mark as a talented MC. He is currently the Vice President of the MC Presentation Club and Head of the External Relations Department of the Human Resources Club. He has achieved many impressive achievements in competitions. He won the Encouragement Prize at “S-Star Humanitarian Startup Ideas 2024”, the First Prize at “I Am Courageous 2024”, and the Second Prize at “MC Inspiring Person 2023”.

Notably, at “Golden Mic 2024”, Xuan Viet not only entered the Top 6 but was also honored as the most favorite contestant and had the most impressive style. In addition, he was also the Champion of the “The Promised Land” contest organized by PEM - MC Presentation Club and won the runner-up prize at the MC graduation ceremony at ST Lighthouse.
Sharing about his achievements, Xuan Viet said: “I find that balancing between studying and outside activities is very important. To do this, I need to have clear goals and specific plans. In class, I pay attention to lectures and memorize knowledge immediately to save time. When the exam is near, I systematize important knowledge, focus on understanding the nature and mastering the exam structure to review effectively.”
These experiences taught Xuan Viet how to plan work, manage time, cope with pressure and handle unexpected changes. He also learned how to run an organization, connect people to achieve the highest performance. After each event, Xuan Viet felt the maturity in himself, gained more great brothers, sisters and colleagues, creating motivation for his next development journey.

Accumulate knowledge from practical experienceIn the activities of the Youth Union - Association, Xuan Viet also recorded many outstanding achievements. He was awarded the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Young Face at the grassroots level in 2023, the Certificate of Merit for Class - Youth Union - Association Officer with many contributions, and the Certificate of Merit for Humanistic Youth 2024 of the school. These achievements not only reflect personal efforts but also affirm his spirit of dedication and responsibility in building the student community.
“Regarding extracurricular activities, I clearly identify which activities are necessary. If an activity does not serve my development goals, I will not spend too much time on it. Most importantly, I do not let outside activities affect my studies. If the time to participate coincides with my class schedule or is close to exams, I will cut down on some to ensure the quality of my studies,” the male student emphasized.
Xuan Viet received the "Youth of Humanity" certificate of merit in the category "Contributing Person of the Year".
The biggest motivation that urges Xuan Viet to actively participate in activities and events is the desire to constantly accumulate experience and affirm his own value.
In addition to studying, Viet actively seeks practical experience through many jobs such as sales staff, Barista, and tutor. Each role brings him valuable lessons that books cannot teach. He understands that sustainable development requires continuous improvement efforts. In the next two years, Xuan Viet aims to graduate with an excellent degree and achieve many successes in cultural and social activities, through implementing specific study and extracurricular plans.
Xuan Viet participated in communication work for the school's events with outstanding lecturers and students.
The male student believes that gradually concretizing the goal will increase the success rate. He always reminds himself to take each step firmly, not hastily to avoid unnecessary mistakes. Xuan Viet also believes that when leaving the comfort zone, it does not mean losing safety, but expanding it. Dare to commit, challenge and face difficulties is the way to create value for yourself and those around you, contributing to building a better version of yourself.
