Me Tri Dormitory
Me Tri Dormitory under the Student Support Center - VNU Hanoi is the place of study and training of many generations of students of Hanoi National University in the past and is now the common home of students of VNU Hanoi.
With a total area of 2.62 hectares, there are many shady trees creating a cool and harmonious living space in the learning and training environment for students. The subjects staying at Me Tri Dormitory are domestic and foreign students, undergraduates, graduate students and researchers (HSSV) of training units under VNU, including: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Natural Sciences, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Education, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy under VNU.

Me Tri Dormitory consists of 2 5-storey buildings (B1 and B2) and 2 4-storey buildings (C1 and C2) with 292 rooms and 1896 accommodations including many different types of rooms. 100% of the rooms in the dormitory are closed rooms equipped with hot water heaters and basic equipment such as: ceiling fans, Internet system, internal telephone, bunk beds, personal cabinets, desks, clothes hangers..., electricity and water are guaranteed 24/24. There are also free Wifi points in the dormitory. In particular, building B2 is a residential area for students and foreign experts studying and working at Hanoi National University. This building has 58 rooms fully equipped with air conditioning with 3 types of rooms for 1 person, 2 people and 4 people per room.
Between the buildings there is a playground area with lots of trees creating a green, airy, cool space, helping students have more places to entertain and relax after stressful study hours.

In the Me Tri dormitory campus, there is a city-level cultural house with more than 600 seats. This is where activities to support students are organized.
One of the indispensable points when mentioning Me Tri Dormitory is the reading room of the Library Information Center - VNU with about 200 seats, 30,000 reference books, 12,500 textbooks, 45,000 newspapers and magazines. Opening hours during and after office hours create favorable conditions for students to study and research.
The multi-purpose sports field serves physical training and sports activities according to students' interests (basketball, volleyball, etc.). This is also the place to organize club activities and other cultural activities. Surrounding the sports field are rows of ancient trees that provide shade, making sports activities more convenient.

In the dormitory campus, there is a General Clinic of VNU Hospital in charge of health care for boarding students and VNU students.
System of services
The canteens serve daily meals in a buffet style, fast food, drinks, birthday parties, etc. The dishes are prepared in a variety of ways, changing daily and seasonally, ensuring food hygiene and safety, and ingredients of clear origin.
The garage is equipped with a camera system to ensure safety, and manages vehicle entry and exit using smart electronic cards, convenient for customers to park their vehicles.
The spacious gym is equipped with many new, modern equipment, including gym, aerobic, and yoga classes suitable for students.
In addition to the above services, the dormitory also has an automatic washing machine system, grocery store, high-quality wifi service, providing bottled drinking water in rooms that meet food hygiene and safety standards...

One of the activities that makes the dormitory stand out is the special care service. This service helps parents feel more secure when their children start living independently, away from home, preparing for the future, specifically as follows:
– Every day, someone cleans and takes out the trash to ensure the room is always clean and tidy. Guides on collective activities and arranges furniture neatly to comply with the dormitory rules and regulations.
– Monitor health status during hospitalization and provide medical care in case of illness.
– Increase overtime checks to remind those who do not follow dormitory rules and make noise that affects their studies.
Activities of the Board of Representatives and clubs
The management, service and support of boarding students play an important role, contributing to the formation of student life, improving the quality of education and training. In addition to improving facilities, improving the capacity of staff... activities such as culture, arts, sports, student radio, club activities,... show that the dormitory is not only a place to live but also a very favorable environment for studying, self-training and personal development.
In recent years, the role of student organizations such as the Student Representative Board has been extremely important. The Student Representative Board is a bridge between students and the Dormitory Management Board, with the task of propagating politics, ideology, policies of the Party, and laws of the State; together with the Management Board, visiting students in difficult circumstances, sick, or having funerals.

The Green Club is a club that operates to raise funds for education and environmental protection. Twice a month, the club members collect bottles, paper, notebooks, and other items that students do not use... and sell them to raise funds. The money collected is used to provide support to disadvantaged students in the dormitory.

English Club: In the trend of global integration, being able to use at least one foreign language is an urgent requirement. Therefore, the English Club was established to create an environment for exchanging experiences to help students build and perfect 4 skills: Listening, speaking, reading, writing in English, increase the ability to react quickly, practice speaking confidently in front of a crowd, and work effectively in groups.

Annual activities during the school year
– Volunteer Saturday. On this day, all student rooms will be cleaned inside and outside, and trees will be trimmed.
– The singing contest for boarding students always receives enthusiastic response from students. This is a playground for students to exchange, show their talents and passion for music, enriching the spiritual life of boarding students.
– Organize cheap tours for students: Create opportunities for students to learn more about the culture and people of the places they visit, and the opportunity to interact and learn from each other through group games.
– Visit, wish a happy new year and give gifts to dormitory rooms on the occasion of New Year.

Programs and plans for the coming time
Focus on developing high quality accommodations and convenient in-room services.

Developing support and student services: Cheap document printing and photocopying services for students, car washing services both create jobs for students and provide cheap services...

This is considered one of the units with good management, service and provision of services according to the needs of students in Hanoi.
